Maybe they just think Sony considers bestbuy, target and amazon their customers. They didnt ship 10 million at the end of June, which takes about a month to get to retailers, so they likely havent sold 10 million to customers.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Again, we have NPD in an hour, which will probably bring new things to light that will have to be changed, so ioi is probably waiting for that so he can make the adjustments in one go, also it's probably not so easy to find out where to actually put those ~550k (remember we're a week behind) units.

I know you want to see the 10 million numbers on the frontpage, we all do, but you need to chill, the adjustment will happen.

Sources on the shipment numbers? Besides It's been a month since the end of June, they could easily shipped and sold the rest in one and a half month. They had sold 7million to cosumers in April. During the conference he specified "and just to be clear, that's 10 million sold through to consumers". You are aware that to lie about numbers like that is a very serious crime?

Again, It's a serious crime to lie about numbers like that. Sony aren't stupid enough to do that.

Sony can get sales numbers from the retailers they ship to. Because of electronic registers and whatnot, every retailer knows precisely how many units of PS4s they have sold.

Opinios, for me PS4 will sell 170,000,000 lifetime.

I have predict 16,500,000 the first time by end of year, but now is sure that will sell more, so, my prediction FOR NOW, is going to better i have expect.

I will say that if the perfect world where Sony gets perfect data from every retailer, then why they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to access NPD, Chart Track, and Japanese sales data?

They didn't say where the data came from when they made the 7 million announcement either. A company would not tell such a straight up lie on a big stage, they would just be deliberately ambiguous, like MS was with the Tomb Raider thing. The 10 million thing is true and Sony has their ways of figuring that out.
