Oh dear Lord. 'Sold through' isn't spin, it's saying directly, with complete transparancy, that the PS4 is in the hands of 10 million gamers. Not shops or stores ... GAMERS (that's people like us).

MS have only sold 3 million XB1s  ... Because when they say 'shipped' they actually mean 'being made.' < We can all say silly things.

Ahh Oh' i Gotcha Now, than lets just say Evry time Sony talks about sale through number's it is always spin, while Nintendo and Microsoft are 100% being the only ones that are being straight up with the number's.../s

They announced 10 million sold to consumer. Time to accept that.

CGI, people look back at what Ubisoft said when they announced Watch_dogs:

Ubisoft? announced ongoing record sales for Watch Dogs, which has sold-through more than 4 million copies in its first week, positioning it as the best-selling new IP at launch across the video game industry*

We know now that this was shipped. Adding together what all of the trackers reported, it wasn't even close to 3 million for the first week.

Please inform other publishers of this when as they continue to report shipped numbers as "sold-through".

I'm sorry, Outlaw, I'm just not with you on this one. Ubisoft =/= Sony. There's nothing solid to refute what they said (and stressed, at that). At best, you can only doubt because nobody is perfect, but as long as the word is from the horse's mouth, I'm taking taking them on it until I have a reason to doubt.

If Sony had been caught lying about numbers - I'd no doubt be with you here, but as it stands, you'll be screaming from a mountain top towering a vacant town. There's just nothing to use other than personal doubt and nothing else.

All it takes for me is a "According to data from NPD, Media Create, GfK, and our internal numbers ...." and I'll believe every word.

Anyway, back on topic: VGC really needs to adjust their 'estimates' in line with the 'official' numbers.

I'm thinking ioi is seriously going back through each week and adding where necessary. Surely it's a tedious process (one I'd never want to take on).

On topic of adjustments, keep in mind that they are quoting from launch till August 10th. I believe there's another week of data missing from VGC's total. Brings the difference down a bit.
