Especially since Ubisoft announced that they shipped 8 million copies of the game for the quarter, the game in no way sold well enough in June to warrant shipping another 4 million after the initial shipment.

Based off the info they have given us yeah. Its not on the books(illegal), its probably them rounding up to a nice sounding number. It is unlikely based on what Sony reported. Its not like they wont be there by the end of the month. There is a link someone just posted about how it is an estimation. GIve it a rest, it will be there soon.

Someone needs to read the NPD report, asap. And maybe drop the salt down.

Estimation because it's IMPOSSIBLE to track sales 100% to consumers. Now, estimation does not mean they round UP to "over 10 million" from something like 9.3m lol. 

Their exact press release placed it at over 10mil. It is far more likely that they estimated DOWN to get to the 10mil figure as any kind of falsehood in claiming something as controversial as sales numbers (especially something that would be scrutinized by the public/media/competitors) will be a huge embarassment for the company. Logic dictates that they would be estimating on the side of safety. So no, it's highly doubtful they were rounding up here, more likely rounding down. Definitely NOT rounding up in the 100Ks. Where the heck are you basing your theory from?

I know that.. But was just thinking.. Whatever changes to his metrics that he must do can still be done behind the scenes.. Just for the ltd hw sales.. It looks sad to know that 10 mil was announced by Sony, but VGC's front page is still @ 9.3.  Just saying..for a site that prides in tracking.. It makes VGC look lagging.
