Forums - Nintendo - After 2 years, Nuketown 2025 DLC finally comes to Wii U Black ops 2. Possibly a Good sign or bad sign for CoD:AW?

This looks pretty positive to me. They knew Blops 2 was the most active game.

They might even be finished with AW Wii U and are using this to see if making AW Wii U DLC is worth it.

I so very much hope so!!!!!

I cant see them putting effort into this if they dont plan on doing anything else. Would have been an even bigger waste of time then. And money.

Why even bother supporing half-assed 3rd party games? It's not like the WiiU will suddenly start getting more Western 3rd party support.. :S

You may be right and in the larger scheme of things I'm a drop in the bucket, but I am going to do my bit. Nintendo is never going to know, I'm never going to get a prize in the mail, no personal thanks from Miyamoto, but I love Nintendo regardless.

OK, then! If that's what you want to do and then more power to you, sir!

I don't have BLOPS2 Wii U anymore (can't confirm this), but I heard that the "Die Rise" Zombie DLC that appeared in the menus (not available to play) has 8 players on the leaderboard that could be testers.

Will they they bring DLC for the old games + Advanced Warfare or DLC instead of AW?

I don't really care that much about CoD, but maybe (best case scenario) the Wii U version of AW is made by High Moon Studios with the aid of some Treyarch Wiimote experts and the rest of the Treyarch Wii U team brings DLC to the old Wii U CoD games.

Well, I don't believe that it will happen, but it would finally be a third-party developer that listens to Nintendo customers...

I DL'd it and played BOPS II for an hour yesterday. Pretty fun, even went 19-3 in my first match back lol

I hate to be a downer, but the way I see it, this is pretty much confirmation of no AW for Wii U. If they were making AW they'd be working on that, not a map from the year before last's entry. It's not like they're a large team.

Now that they have no new game to port, they're sitting there idle, so they were tasked with porting some old DLC as a feeble apology to Wii U gamers.

Mind you, this doesn't necessarily mean COD for Wii U is over. Wii missed Modern Warfare in 2007, but still got World at War the next year. Once there are more consoles in the wild, they may try again.

well i fired up black ops 2, did see a new sign next to a menu item lol. So guessing my Wii U updated itself with the DLC.

Back to mario kart 8 youtube uploads that i forgot about lol.

lol activision already said aw is not coming to wii u even if it did it would sell horribly just like the 2 cods before it. idk why wii u owners make this fuss about cod and dont even buy it
