All 10s or all 9s or all 8s, I'm still getting this game. Never played a dynasty warriors game but a Zelda themes one looks cool IMO.

I understand DW fanbase however as its a game they love but would be upset if only people cared for DW is cuz its LoZ. At the same time a game like this can open the doors for DW to grw, especially on nintendo platforms. Overall this is definitely one of the hardest cases to understand. There is good points to both sides. It being a good mash up of 3 main LoZ games with so muh nostalgia in it. Then another saying will it give consumers a chance to look at the DW franchise as a whole now? I mean SSB is a great game that lead up to many fans looking at other ips (course SSB is in its own league :P) HW might do the same for a few. |
I'm curious to see what kind of scores it gets from publications that wouldn't normally review a Warriors game. There are likely quite a few that skip them for being too niche, not to mention the Nintendo-only websites and magazines. Those might end up being the wildcards that sway the Meta one way or another. There is no doubt in my mind that there will be a LOT more reviews for Hyrule Warriors than for Dynasty Warriors 8. Where many of those who would review a Dynasty Warriors game have probably played them in the past, I'm betting a good portion of the Hyrule Warriors reviews will be from people new to the style of game-play. It's an interesting situation.

They rate 4 aspects of the game on a 1-10 scale, and combine the numbers. So It's the exact same scoring system as something like IGN, but instead of averaging out the scores of each of the 4 aspects they just add each number together.

Really? I thought it was rated by 4 people

You could be right. I'm not 100% sure about I said, but I thought that'd be the most likely!

Famitsu scores are meaningless, like, they often don't make sense.
I doubt a Musou game will manage to get an 80 in metacritic.

At least I was right about the other part.
