Forums - Microsoft Discussion - The Xbox One Is Doing Extremely Well........

If people are debating about whether or not the PS4 is doing extremely well, then X1 certainly isn't. Post launch month, it is doing ok at best in my opinion.

Around the Network

Xbox One sales in 2014 through June: 1,765,244
Xbox 360 sales in 2006 through June: 2,518,342

Not even close to tracking ahead of the 360. Actually, take a look at this.

PS3 sales in 2007 through June: 2,564,173

I'd also argue that it's not gaining traction either.

First 3 months of 2014 sales: 1,066,322

next 3 months of 2014 sales: 698,922

PS4 first 3 months: 2,458,652

PS4 next 3 months: 1,645,613

40% of PS4 sales this year were between April and June.

39.6% of Xbox One sale this year were between April and June.

Both the Xbox One and PS4 have seen summertime sales dips which are expected but if anything sales of the Xbox One have dropped a little bit more than the PS4 and as such the Xbox One has actually lost a little bit of traction.

Now, don't get me wrong. The Xbox One is selling okay, but just okay.

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I don't see the Xbox One beating the hype sales of the PS4, much like the Wii enjoyed. However, among actual gamers who track games, there's no denying the Xbox One has a better holiday lineup. People will buy the PS4 because other people are buying the PS4, but the Xbox One has more exclusives lined up along with having every major multi-platform game as well.

Essentially, going into the holidays, the Xbox One has a better lineup, but it won't matter because the PS4 will sell on the hype train like the Wii did (people buying it because it's the "fad" right now).

And no, that's not me knocking the PS4, lol

The Xbox One has more exclusives?  Um, no, it doesn't.  Go check again.

I agree with the OP regarding the games, and that is all we should care about. Maybe not the best idea to make this thread in a forum with MANY PS fans :P.

X1 is doing okay. Not great and not bad. There have been some good months  but there have also been some bad months

um... it is only ahead because of the massive surge at launch... now it is behind.

I think it is doing pretty well. Without comparisons, the console itself is doing well.

Xbox One Upcoming Major Releases:

- Forza Horizon 2

- Sunset Overdrive

- Halo: The Master Chief Collection

PS4 Upcoming Major Releases:

- Driveclub

And if you REALLY want to TRY and give the PS4 an extra edge, you can say Little Big Planet 3, but that's ALSO coming to the PS3, hence, not a PS4 exclusive.  You can apply that to Forza Horizon 2 if you wish, and it still comes out on top!

All the rest of the major releases coming up are multiplats showing up on both platforms.

Edit: Whoops, didn't even finish the first paragraph, lol

So is FH2 and TMCC is a bunch of 360 games...So going by your logic it's Sunset Overdrive vs. Driveclub.
