This site overtrack Xbox consoles too often. Who are doing this ? I read on other website that this site is owned by pro Xbox dudes. This kind of news do not say otherwise.

Give it a rest. The 360 was undertracked here globally (not one country) for way over a Year. VGC numbers were consistantly behind MS shipments by about 3 Million units.

There is no bias in the numbers, just people who dont like what they see.

Estimates often adventage xbox consoles. Just saying...

Of course...I guess that's why the 360 was undertracked by over a million units for who knows how long.

if x360 is overtracked 1 million in germany, it has to be undertracked 1 million some where else

becaus we know the offical shipped numbers form microsoft. some where north of 84m

Maybe microsoft overshipped 360 in third world countries with hope that they would buy.(this countries usually are the last ones to jump)

they still ship units of x360

so retailers (and comsumer tho) still buy

that only make sense, if they massively overshipped some countryie. and all new shipments only ouccur to others.

dont think so. but could! be possible. nahhh still don't think so. that markets are way to small. why should ms ship x million of x360 to the smallest gaming markets?

Carl, there could be a bias, we can't prove or disprove... but one thing we can be certain it can't be biased 1M overtracked in Germany and 2-3M undertracked WW for the same reason... so everybody should drop it and just accept that the methodology have its flaw and needs constant tweek.

In context of how much ground the 360 gained worldwide after the OG Xbox, this is kinda scary. All that progress the 360 made for the brand... *swoosh*... gone. And the PS4 is outselling the X1 by more than 4:1 YTD in Germany. It's just a total massacre.

It goes back to what I said a lot last gen - that while Microsoft definitely put up their best efforts, they were up against an incompetent, arrogant Sony. When both brands launch at the same time with competitive prices and/or game plans, the PlayStation will probably always be ahead, thanks to its worldwide brand name, which is bigger than any gaming brand. The US/UK/JP are the only real battlegrounds for PS vs Xbox and PS vs Nintendo.

Microsoft put up their best efforts during the 1st half of last gen. During the 2nd half of last gen, they did a paltry job and it ended up knocking the 360 to third place. It also set a precedent to this gen. MS transitioned to this gen as a company that relied all too much on Halo, Forza, Gears, and Fable. The X1 announcement was the nail and hammer on the coffin for many consumers. It was an epitome of a "things can't get much worse and then, it does" situation.

Don't be mad because Xbone is doing worse than vgchartz is saying man. If they fix their numbers I don't have any problem.

You know, I don't really understand why he still thinks that 360 shipped more than the PS3. Considering that MS and Sony are combining PS3 and 360 shipments with PS4 and X1 shipments, respectively, we just don't know who outshipped who. No one from either side has convincing evidence. From my perspective, however, considering that MS is not hesitant to overship a lot of systems, it is more likely that the PS3 has outsold the 360 and quite a while ago, too.

And when it comes to userbase (you know, the amount of people who actually use their systems), that was already taken care of since the beginning of 2011.

He probably needs something to hold on. I mean Xbone is lost. He needs to believe that 360 isn't third last generation...

Since PS3 consistantly outsells X360 by at least 50%, even with German insane overtracking, it's very hard to believe that X360 is anywhere close to 2nd place.

It seems much more likely that MS does overship abundantly.

Final warning, cut out the antagonistic crap.
