But I don't think (and I really hope it doesn't) that changes his buisness perspective. In that case, he should be fired right away.

Hes still focused on the company making great games and innovation like Nintendo always have...

What I meant by that was that if he is a gamesman and not a buisness man, then he should be fired. But as I also said, I think he is a buisnessman trying to keep his company afloat, just like any executive of a company in a troublesome period.

He was in charge of the DS and Wii, so he knows how to make money if thats what you mean.

So you believe GTA and Final Fantasy were exclusive to the PS2 out of the good heart from the developers? EA didn´t make any sports games for Dreamcast so SEGA had to create their own sporting division. Do you seriously think EA would have skipped SEGA without some money being transferred? The most recent example is Destiny, or do you believe Activision just felt that PS4 owners should have all DLC a year before X1 owners?

Now, don´t get me wrong, they did the right thing and it basically bought them the 6th gen togethter with the DVD capabilities in the PS2. But you must realise this is done in this industry by all parties. Nintendo did it when they dominated, Sony did it when they were the leader and MS did it last gen.

And where has this "forced parity" come from? I have never seen any evidence of that but I guess you have some?

Nintendo didnt pay anyone. They just said "Either you make games for our system only or you get the fuck out"

Yes I know, and as a SEGA fan I hated them for being the industry bully just because they were the leader. Still, it is in their right to do so an things changed alot in the 16-bit era anyways :)-.

Sega put up one hell of a fight though. Thats why that gen is legendary and has a movie based on a book about it being made.lol

Yes, I always went for the underdog in the gaming industry and SEGA was the best underdog of them all :).

Nope, that's not what I said. I'm not bashing on Iwata if that's what you thing, I'm just saying that any executive of a company should be a good executive and leader, not just love the thing he works with. And as I pointed out, I think Iwata has all of that.

Am I being Punk'd? What is this guy even going on about.

If you have time complain about being "punk'd", then you have time to gather your evidence and make actual arguments. You haven't thus far and worse, said that you don't need to provide evidence as a lame excuse which reeks of sheer laziness. But if you want to keep dodging and evading, I won't stop you since it won't magically make your outrageous claims right anyways.

He passes off others arguments outside of his own understanding as a joke. You can argue with him until sunrise. This is why I pretty much gave up. Theres no point. He wont take you seriously, nor anyone who does not share his opinion.

Do you see Microsoft ever winning a gen or do you think it'll just alternate between Nintendo and Sony?

All is possible, though I believe the only chance MS has(in general), is to win in NA; they will never win in the Global.
