Thats arguable, there is no hint of him joining in (no franchise representation atm). But he is in the leak everybody is going on... Dont be surprised if the newcomer is Chorus Men though :)

 

We've already got our "wtf" character in Wii Fit Trainer. I'd rather not the chorus men (although the appearance of the Rhythm Heaven enemies in Smash Run does lend credence to it).

It's all about marketing. The new Smash Bros was announced over a year ago, if they had released the whole roster at that time, the hype around the game would be much smaller today.

I understand wanting to stagger it, but look at the Directs. They treat single character announcements are big deals with absurd detail. I can't imagine other fighting games treating it's roster this way. It's just really odd. If this is a huge surprise that no one knew about or expected, then it'd be justified. But the "unknown" characters have most likely been leaked for a while (and if they just show vets that should have been included in the first place >_> )


They don't treat their characters like that because they are nobody at the end of the day. These are only fighting characters here but they are in some of the biggest games nintendo has. So I am down for this. And all at once is no fun. If we knew everything for a game in one setting and had to wait a year it would have no hype and less sells.

Nah, its all good. Despite it being my favorite franchise, the roster is very important (probably the most important of any game).

Its an allstar roster with the most well know group of IP's. Anywayz srry u get annoyed bout it :-/

they are in the gem.. (watever the name) leak. And like you said, an enemy appeared that represents the franchise! Looks more plausible than Shulk unfortunately atm!

Not really, but i feel like users would be bothered by too many "weird" characters all at once.

I know they were in the Gematsu leak, which has been right so far (though missed a few characters and did not pick out Greninja by name).

Animal Crossing got a lot of representation in Brawl without getting a character. I remember when they showed that "Smashville" had its own symbol, i was sure that meant we were getting Tom Nook.
