Different specs to the same thing, the difference in libraries is because of the shift from game developer making consoles to electronics company/software company making consoles

There were never as many multi platform games on consoles before the 6th gen. Just saying...

That's because Sega, Atari, Nintendo, and who ever else was making consoles before Sony where Game Developers, so they were competiting against the multiplatforms as well. 3rd parties took a back seat regardless of where they were.

True 3 means one will always be the runt of the litter. By the way ninty does not need its own hardware to make great games, sooner or later they and their fans will have to accept and embrace that.

It is coming. It would be better for Ninteno as well as for gamers in general.

You PS fans so desperately want that. Too bad out of the three, Sony is the most likely to bow out.

I certainly don't want Nintendo to exit the hardware game but Sony has zero chance of failure in 8th gen. Sony corp could go bankrupt with basically zero impact to PlayStation. It's largely independent and they would have a laughably easy transition to total independence as a brand. The numbers as early as 2015 should show wild yoy profits.

Tell that to the Vita, lol.

There isn't a need for any consoles, really. No one's going to die or starve if all the consoles suddenly disappeared.

And there is the true irony.

Looking at the recent weekly sales, it seems that there's room for 3 consoles IMO.
