Just the fact that they are first out of the gate big three should be a giveaway.

Except they're not. PS Now isn't DRM. Or, if you want to put it differently, it doesn't work like DRM.

true... because you dont need a lock on a door if there is no door.

Well, you don't need a lock on your disc either, but MS would be glad to put it there anyway.

Of course they are. he even said it.

They want games to shift from a product into a service. They just showed their hand too early with the xbone.
This is what microsoft is. This is what they represent, and the direction they have decided on for gaming. And they probably aren't alone. There is probably a reason why EA was so in bed with them when they first unveiled the xbone. I bet a lot of third party execs like the idea of 'games as a service' too.

Shame on you if you still support them. They have no place in gaming.

I LOVE ICELAND!

I am unsure how it works but you might be able to clarify:

- Is it required to be online in order to play the games?

- Can you buy the games?

- Can you somehow borrow the games to your friends or (if it is possible to buy games) resell them?

I assume piracy as kind of stopped by PS Now which is kind of the very purpose of DRM. I am going by wiki, which isn´t the most reliable source but: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Rights_Management

lol that is much misconception and biased opinion for a so small sentence.

You know cloud feature != drm. you will still be able to buy sell used games.
Cloud feature does not mean that the game will be online only (look at forza 5).
And stop acting like you know everything that Microsoft as planned. The only result you'll get is your opinion being discredited

1) Because in the future if you need to play any game you will need to be online even if your playing alone 2)just for the cloud computing is just an excuse. Always online is the same as always drm. 3)To ply with parity with the ps4 you will need the cloud there for you will need xbox live.

I like how you mention forza like an old game has any relevance in a conversation about the fuure of gaming. 4)Why didnt you mentioned titanfall then. 5)With all their brag about cloud and the AI and the graphics where crap.

6)And you know why i pretend like I know? Because everybody knows, at least anybone who saw last years E3 and the x1 reveal where they said it to everybody that it was exactly their plan. Even if they whent 180 on all thouse policies they still have claimed that thouse ideas are not dead. 7)Like it was said before not by me, it will start with cloud power so it has the same power as the ps4 and then you will not be able to play any game offline so the only choise in playing will be online or get a ps4 and acording to the reaction from last year guess wich will be the popular option.

1) Your right, but that's an inneviteble future for Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo. My guess is that Sony and Microsoft next gen system will maybe not even have disc drive.

2) But then again, cloud feature may not be required for the game, so not every game with cloud feature will require online.

3)  If you think that cloud compute is there to make every Xbox One more powerfull you're looking at it the wrong way. It is there to add new features and possibility to games.

4) Because Titanfall is a multiplayer only title and that has nothing to do with the cloud feature.

5) you're right Ai <> graphics. And no just because graphics are not awesome or better than anything else does not mean they're crap.

6)Last year e3 was about DRM and that is in no way related to cloud feature. Microsoft never said that they wanted to bring back DRM on the Xbox One.

7) look at number 3. Cloud processing to enhance graphics is only a possibility among tons of other and this one does not even interest me.

But even if in a game required online for single player. because devs wanted to bring innovation, feature, boost in graphics, cool stuff that need cloud processing. why would I not be able to benefit from it? Because someone somewhere want to play the game offline. Activation sure did not bother them when they made Diablo 3 online only why would Microsoft or any other company do for certain specific games. You tring to say Microsoft should not innovate because not everyone in the world would want/be able to use those innovation? Sorry but no one company ever acted this way.

3) Please, I am a nintendo fan I know graphics arent everithing, I was making a point that they said it was going to help the game tremendosly.

6) Yes they have said that they could not explain correctly their plans so they will try to show all the beneficts of the original idea. So the translation is they have not given up on it. The only logical progression i see for the future of the cloud is always online wich means DRM even if you don seem to accept it.

You do remember the extensive hate MS receive when they anounced all this shit last year? You do remember the 180 on all policies? Sorry but MS already acted that way. Because if they dint, X1 would b at 2mil now with only the die hard fans like you. And we know big companys dont care about you or any of us for that matter, only for $$. This includes sony and nintendo.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Microsoft wanted to make an online only system we all know that. But they were too early and wanted a way that people can still used retail disc so they were trying use DRM because they wanted all games to act like it was a digital copy. People did not liked that and I respect that but what they wanted to bring was not DRM, it was things possible to do with a DRM in place (things they could only do with digital download now). So yes they will probably try to brings things that a DRM would have made possible but that does not mean that they will bring DRM.

Yes I remenber all the hate they got and still get today and i'm sure Microsoft remember even more that why thinking they will try to bring DRM is just not logical.

But then again DRM is not related to Cloud feature. You can have a physical copy of a game that use cloud feature and still be able to sell it.
You seems to think Online only is DRM but it isn't.

And i'm not more of a fan of Microsoft than Sony or Nintendo, i'm just tired that they're are always considered pure evil with dubious claims and over exaggeration.

I really hope so. I mean, if they really use the cloud to enhance games I can't say that I would rather prefer to stay in the past just so that I can say that my game doesn't need to be online because it's a singleplayer experience.

Would be different if a game would have to be always online even without some enhancements not possible without being online.

I was asking those questions in regards to PS Now. So the games you buy on PS Now can be played offline? I thought it was a streaming service? I don´t care if you can buy games physically, any game that you buy and cannot copy, resell or lend to someone else, has DRM attached to it. Every game I buy on XBLA has DRM, since they are all digital.

If you're excited about Destiny, The Division, Battleborn, No Man's Sky, and likely many more future "online only" titles, you give up your rights to complain about the requirement of an online connection.
