Forums - Sony - Sony is in danger of becoming arrogant? Gamezone explains...

They did, with the PS2, then the PS3 was a bad console at launch. It became pretty good after a while in my opinion.
Right now they have the cooler console and, with time, will have the cooler games. I think the risk of arrogance will not be real till they are making a lot of profit, and that will take a while.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Damn! Those Phil Harrison quotes are gold! He hasn't been talking like that since he joined M$ AFAIK.

He was one of the main contributors to DRM fiasco. I think he was the one denying check ins after it was confirmed there were check ins. He also said it was user friendly lol

Ha! What a douche. I'm surprised they kept him around after Mattrick "moved on."

BTW - if all you have is regurgitating generation old news to try to make a point then chances are you don't have one. Remember the RROD fiasco? Yeah, Ms is in danger of having a huge failure rate /s

Meanwhile Nintendo just started gearing down lol

It's the worse thing ever when these companies get cocky.

Well hopefully Sony has leaned from the early PS3 experience. They certainly seem to have learned in the hardware design department, so hopefully they have learned in the corporate attitude department too.

Sony has been seriously humbled the last few years, even as PS3 made a comeback the company as a whole has continued to struggle. I don't see arrogance creeping back into their mentality any time soon because the company is pretty fragile right now and for the forseeable future. This is not the same company as the Sony of 2006. The humbling of Sony, yet the eventual success of PS3 is probably one of the best things to happen to the console business in recent times. Sony is probably now more consumer focussed than they have been since launching the Walkman.

Yeah, last years E3 Sony was good because they called out MS on their BS. This year they just seemed like bullies tbh...

most winners are arrogant,

the PS4 is winning the gen right now,if it can win a gen like the PS & PS2,no one will care,

better than being arrogant and never having won a generation, wonder how long it will take
