Forums - Sony - Sony is in danger of becoming arrogant? Gamezone explains...

I think the article writer should be very careful about how he writes these. Talking up the WiiU at the end of an article that supposed to be about Sony makes you look biased and like you wrote the article as part of an agenda. If it isn't directly related to the subject at hand (and it wasn't, it was tangential at best) then you should just leave it out and you can make another article about how everyone should get a WIiU.

Well the signs are allready emerging. They are still taking PR shots at MS in 2014 where as Xbox reps are largely praising Sony/Nintendo. You have the $60 cash grab LOU remastered compared to the value-rich Master Chief Collection. PS4 PS+ games are nowhere as numerous or good (lack of AAA) as PS3 PS+ games. PS Now rental prices = WTF.

I dunno, seems Sony is starting to take advanatge of winning and price gouging where they can in subtle ways.  They are lucky their fans are doing most of the heavy lifting to preserve the notion that Sony loves them unconditionally.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

- isn't value up the person? I see a lot more value in TLOU and have no interest in MCC

- yet they're at least giving us 2 each month while MS gives one; and one of Sony's july picks is a recent game (Strider), while MS picked a port. On top of that, they already gave us several games way before MS even started to give any.

- rental prices are set by the publishers and the new ones are actually pretty reasonable

Still waiting for unbiased arguments.

Let me guess.

The unbiased defence would only be possible if

- Sony bundled all the PS3 exclusives remastered as a bonus to TLOU HD

- Sony gave away all AAAs that have been released on the console on PS+

- PS Now rental prices were free. Free rentals for eternity.

The "fact" that Sony's fans are the most enthusiastic in the industry.

Right.

Carry on.

Since when does taking PR shots at your direct competitor =/= being arrogant? If anything, it's just smart marketing.

"Value" is subjective to one's preferences. While both are great games, TLOU is $50 and TMC is $60. On Amazon TLOU is at #28 while TMC is at #70, btw.

Oh wow. Old console has more good AAA PS+ games than new console! What logic!

PSnow prices not set in stone yet.

Haha. Wait, lemme guess, "price gouging" is going to be the new M$ talking point, isn't it?

edited for typo.

"For the love of all things holy, buy a Wii U. You’ll thank me later, I promise."

Figures.

No, I would take TLOU over Halo any day of the week, but saying a remastered port of a year old game vs 4 games(in which one is a total remake, never before released) is up to a persons preference, is not a good argument.

Yes it is because the fact that TLOU is 1 year old actually increases its value, it doesn't diminish it. And that's being objective. TLOU is more expensive than any of the Halo games because the Halo games are older. TLOU+DLC costs as much as buying the 4 Halo games separately. Same reason why GOTY editions get released at full price. The original release is "fairly recent" and the games are still being sold at a medium-high price. Though those don't even improve the visuals (understandable because it's usually the same platform). So both releases are in a similar situation and it's up to each person to decide which one they want/like more.
