well i recently got a job at Target and i've only been there for a week and a half and ee've sold out of Mario Kart twice and we just got them back in today, which I stocked (28 total). Also, I had to send people to other stores and we've been sold out of Wii U's at least twice now as well. We do have a great sale going though b2 get 1 free.

It's sold out or low stock almost everywhere I have been on the east coast over the past month.

It took nearly a month to sell 800k... Wtf... It will be less than 3 million in ten weeks.

It should easily do 3m in ten weeks mate.

Of course i dont agree with White Eagle this with another million Soooo Soon! As for the 10 weeks for another million, i think its highly unlikely but there is still a very small chance (at least for under 3months so about 13 weeks). Here is a list of things to take into consideration as it might not be fully explained.

It actually didnt take nearly a month to do 800k. Your getting 800k from June 2nd-June 25th as May 28th-June 1st was 1.2mil Shipped+Digital. This means the next announcement was actually just 24 days of which it increased from 1.2mil ⇒ 2.0mil.

Lastly the 2mil number is being reported as actually Sold to consumers, so 2mil is Sold+Digital and not Shipped if there are no mistakes like in Watchdogs announcement of 4mil Sold (which ended up being Shipped+Digital).

This means that MK8 didn't sell 800k in 24 days... This means it sold close or over 1mil. How??? I'll break it down for ya

May 29th-May 30th [2 days]                 May 28th-June 1st

US: 375k (no digital sales)                     Japan: 363k (with digital sales)

That right there is 738k with Europe + Canada + Australia that should equal about 1mil. Also aside from japan no Sunday sales. The 1.2mil was Confirmed to be Shipped + digital, but 2mil is confirmed so far its sold to consumers. This means it sold just about 1mil in 24 days.

Even if it slowed down especially in Japan, Parts of Europe and especially US can avg out and pull good  numbers throughout summer. The promotion is still going on for another 30days+ and MK8 is getting alot of attention currently and in the US there's really nothing notable to buy for next gen now accept for TLoU a Port which is coming out in another month.

Now do I think 10weeks-3months MK8 will be at 3mil (shipped or sold)? Most likely not, but after this 2mil surprise announcement, i think its certainly possible.

You cant say anybody saw 2mil right away, especially after 1.2mil #s were shipped and we have Japan MC+Famitsu every week pointing out MK8 numbers going down in that region!!!

If it is at all, I doubt by much. It won't be a very significant bump.

Damn, cant believe this is Sold, do you guys think Nintendo just said that like Ubisoft? They never state sell through!
