They could probably do something like Twilight Princess, where you technically have Epona from the start, but you can't freely use her till later in the game.

I agree with Hynad (somewhat) in that all the "big" Zelda maps always get complaints about feeling empty.

Sheesh... How would that even look like? Aren't alligators pretty damn slow? (well, I'm pretty sure they're slower than horses) They're pretty short as well.

I seriously can't imagine this scenario.

Haven't been paying much attention to Hyrule Warriors because I don't have a WiiU (though I do like Musou), but in the musou games there's just a generic horse usually that you can call to you at any time right from the beginning of the game and the famous ones (e.g. Red Hare, if you're familiar with Dynasty Warriors) are later unlockables which are faster and do more damage when you run over enemies - this may be how they deal with Epona

I guess it'll depend on how much influence is coming from traditional LoZ and how much is taken from Musou

EDIT: Shit, just realized this is irrelevent. Oh bollocks. Never mind :/

That's a good catch. I think it will surely be. Maybe in this game Link is sent to Hyrule Castle/Hyrule Town/Somewhere and you'll need to travel far away from your hometown, just TP at the beggining before the Twilight invasion.

Maybe they'll do it GTA style where you can just steal a horse from a barn. Maybe many animals will be rideable...including dragons.
