oh, and those 4 sentences were more story than the whole gibberish that I just skipped over. |
You.... never beat the game did you? That person wasn't dead and he didn't die.

My point is that in all Zelda games the story is a distraction at best, it's a minor part of the Zelda package. The dungeons are solid, the wall merging mechanic makes for fun exploring, there's enemies aplenty and the collectables are actually useful. ALBW is a great Zelda game because of those things, you disliking the story intro shouldn't affect that. |
Then why have it at all. Start out with all the guns blazing. Not whimpering around.

At that point in the story he was dead for me. You left him wounded in enemy territory, without a sword. Did he ever recover / get out of there? I dont recall and I dont care.
And yes, I have beaten that game.

Sure why not, I wouldn't mind. In the meantime, don't let a slow intro rob you of a great game.
Signature goes here!
Well to be honest it wasn't that great. I still prefer A Link to the Past over this one. I say you stop playing and try a game with a more "adventuristic" feel, I suggest: "How to Train your Dragon 2" on Wii U. Here you can learn more about that game: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=185595&page=1

I will do that since it is a 2D Zelda game. Still, I can bitch a bit once in a while.

Same here!
Switch!!!
I didn't find the start that bad. It's been a great game till now imo
Slow start? Ok I don't recall it like that at all and I started and finished it last week. If you can get over the "bad" start it's a brilliant game. Just an FYI - I thought it was brilliant from start to finish. Not sure where the complaints come from. Now Skyward Sword - THAT was the mother of all slow starters. It was so slow I started playing it Nov 2011 and didn't pick it up again till July 2012 (and I then kicked myself because after the EPICALLY slow start it was an amazing game too).

IMO, after playing through the game four times (once on Hero mode), the sand dungeon is as good as the others (I don't have one single favourite, there's so many AMAZING dungeons I think).
It gives me the same vibes and atmosphere as the 3D Zelda sand dungeons. That's an amazing achievement for a top down game. Of course, my opinion ;)
Yep.
