Forums - Nintendo - A Link between worlds starts annoying

Urgency. Drama. Rain. Lightning. Instant fighting.

Is what i felt at the start of playing ALBW my first Zelda...

I was going to be sarcastic and tell you that five minutes really isn't that much, but I see you came around. You're right that there's room for improvement in the beginning, and I hope they do going forward, but it's nowhere near that bad.

The beginning is definitely a failure compared to ALttp; and while it may be fun, it's still nothing but a clone to ALttp.

Moreover, the borrow system is nothing but a crutch.

Dont know about the borrow system. I actually quite liked going through the dungeons in my own order.

Excuse me, I meant the Rent system (which you can ultimately permanently acquire later).

Eh. I guess it is convenient to complete a dungeon in a non-linear manner but I feel that without the nostalgia factor, this game would be above average at best.

Even its Hero mode is a damn joke. It feels that it's only there to strike a gamers' ego.

Well, due to the rental system, they opened up the dungeon order. At least that is my understanding.

I would argue differently. If this game had no prequel, the game would be even better due to the overworld being new. And the dungeons are really good, as is the new play mechanic with the wall walking.

I suppose I'll give where credit is due. Nintendo, in essence, remade A Link To The Past adding freedom and a new play mechanic.

Btw, nice to see back in the forums. It seems you disappeared for a while there.

Also, do you remember an old user who had the Starburst avy?

Keep playing. I think is the best portable Zelda.
