Sony can't keep up with the cost of development for a system that was out of date the minute it released?

This post gave me cancer.

Seriously, we're resorting to posting anti-Sony propaganda now?

Haters gonna hate!

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

Why's that? All three console makers puprosefully made their consoles weaker to cut costs. If a company is struggling to financially support a system -- that they've already designed to be cheaper, then there's a problem.

Software costs are outpacing hardware costs by an unsustainable margin. Expect game prices to rise.

I predicted we would see less from Sony this gen. Many of their titles did modest or flopped last gen and consumers are more interested in 3rd party.

MS was criticized for focusing on fewer projects than Sony last gen. But MS's strategy clearly makes sense to Sony now.

Software cost have been outpacing hardware costs for a long ass time, Don't see why this would make them outdated the minute they released. If you want to compare them to PCs. thats fine but until you can make a PC at power parity and price parity then your assessment is invalid and your point is moot.

It gave me cancer too. But that's probably because I spend 24 hours in front of the monitor. Don't feel bad, but we all have to blame our problems on someone else from time to time. So yeah, stop giving cancer please.

Yeaaaah no.

No, yeaaaah. Sony is clearly focusing on less 1st party and pushing 3rd party more. This is what MS has been doing for years and criticized for.

Sony is now throwing money at 3rd parties for exclusive advertising, betas, and content. Its cheaper than making games and still gets attention.

I'll post it again

Killzone Shadow Fall
Knack
Infamous Second Sun
Driveclub
LBP3
The Order 1886
Uncharted 4
Guerrilla Games new IP

+ MM, Santa monica, Quantic Dream and Sony bend

they're not cutting on first party, they're keeping it, plus expanding third party. And indies. so it's all growing. Which is why PS4 is going to have the best library in ages.

oh and Sony released 7 AAA first party exclusives in 2013...

2014 seems to be 3, which is normal after such a productive year

Will go back up in 2015-2016
