dude would break a hip if he fell he is so old. he is out of touch.

VR tech is so old and still overpriced.  Sony, Facebook and Microsoft are out of touch thinking VR will have mass market appeal.  Case in point... Virtual Boy

That's like saying the Wiimote will fail because of the Power Glove. Technology has evolved in the last 20 years.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Must be why they half assed it all those years ago.  I personally don't care about the tech, but Nintendo is downplaying it because they're not doing it.

pretty much

I agree, it's regression, not progression. It's going to certainly be an amazing tech and experience, but it'll never be anything more than extremely niche.

i also agree.  at best sony might find their "avatar" and gets a lot of people to buy into it for a bit but i think consumer interest won't affect everyone and even the fanatics will lose interest sooner than later.   i'm sure the new VR technology can be an amazing sensory experience but it is just soo awkward and anti-social.  i would literally hate myself for using it for extended periods of time.

i just hope sony isn't investing too much here.

i find it strange coming from a company that has a system thats main selling point can only be used by one person at a time...odd

Nintendo also said something similar with regards to online gaming, and look how that ended up. It took them nearly a decade to catch Microsoft and Sony, and some would argue that they haven't even done that yet.

I have never used any VR tech, so I can't say how "ready" I think it is, but if it is ready, then it'll take Nintendo years to catch up yet again.

Surely it will be used for somethings other than porn mr miyamoto.

He's right, but I'll wait to first try it before judging it.

pff corner, my ass will be laying on a beach plaing GT on my morpheus if my girl ever manages to drag me to some boring tropical vacation.

VR is as dumb as it was then as it is now. It will be a short lived fad for gaming much like 3D was
