Forums - Nintendo - So... we have nothing to look forward to this summer from Nintendo?

It seems it get better sales when school starts after summer brake.

After all, even though it is a handheld it is whorthless out in the sun!

yeah, it sucks. It's basically taking them half of their consoles life cycle to deal with the fact that third parties have all but completely abandoned the system. They have reacted by bumping up their second party deals higher than they have since the game cube. But, those deals are going to result in games that won't materialize for at least a year. I work at a game store and had one person trade in a wii-u and 2 others tell me they were planning to do the same. It's quite the bummer, and I foresee wiiu sales actually dropping in the near future. :(

Too bad we aren't in Japan. Hyrule Warriors comes out August 14th there.

Have you beaten Super Metroid? Club Nintendo is offering it as a reward, Wario Land 4 for GBA is on the Wii U virtual console, and it is as good as the 2 big titles Wii U has had this year, Mario Kart 8 and Tropical Freeze.

Cmon its summer. The girls will be horny and the skirts are short. Go do some hunting outside.

I just looked at their software release schedule and saw that we basically have 0 games to look forward to this summer for BOTH of their systems (wiiU and 3ds). I am very disappointed.  Last year, we had Mario & Luigi dream team and Pikmin 3 as summer releases. This year, we have absolutely nothing.  *sigh*

Am I the only one very disappointed with this? I mean, comon. Nintendo is basically begging their fans to have to go to their competition to get their gaming experience.

well, maybe, because? WHY ARNT U PLAYING MK8?  do u realy need a new game every week?

go out, look football world cup, come home with friends, have some beers, play mk8 with 4 players...

Smash Bros 😊

When this sort of question arises I have to ask 'what do Sony and M$ have for the coming months?'

Not trying to be defensive, but I honestly dont know of anything releasing on any console within the coming months.

I will help you with the PS4 games from now till September from the top of my head so not every release date will be concrete:

EA Sports UFC tuesday I would guess

Valiant Hearts June

Sniper Elite V3 June/July

Transformers July I think?

Oddworld New N' Tasty July 23rd

The Last of Us Remastered July 29th

Hohokum August (12th?)

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare August 22nd

Minecraft August

Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition August something

Games with vague "Summer" release dates from E3:

Counter Spy

Helldivers

Guns Up

And a couple of indies, but I,don't keep track of every single one of them. So while there definitely are not many retail releases typical for summer holiday season, PS4 is far from a barren wasteland.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Well, there is that indie game Shovel Knight coming out in 11 days......... It's no Bayonetta 2, but it can be fun for a few days I guess!

Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton 3DS
Pokemon Art Academy 3DS
Tomodachi Life JUST FUCKING RELEASED
Shovel Knights (Like others said, it's worth it even if it's not retail)
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse WiiU/3DS
One Piece Unlimited World Red WiiU/3DS

Summer isn't known for a lot of games but these should tide you over to the fall bonanza.
