I hope no one thinking about getting a Wii u reads this thread- their expectations of what it might be like to own one would be shot down fast- Hey man, you had Donkey Kong in late feb and Mario Kart may 30 and your expecting MORE games before the fall! If you can t live on 4 games a year plus Indy s then your just being greedy!!!! Or .... You bought a Wii u to play NEW games???? If NES and Gameboy games aren t good enough for you then we don t want you

I'd expect anyone getting a Wii U right now to atone their sins and catch up on what they missed from 2013 in between their bouts of Mario Kart.

Your right - now would be a great time to buy a Wii u since the library has been building up -  it's more the attitude of " don t have expectations and Take What you are served and be happy about it"

The difference is that Sony and Microsoft can rely on third parties to pick up the slack whilst they develop their own lineup. Nintendo doesn't enjoy that luxury anymore.

True actually. I think Diablo 3, Walking Dead and Metro Redux? So a Summer of remakes, plus sports games?

Wii U has plenty of great games available right now (especially compared to the competition...both of which, you may or may not have noticed, ALSO had heavily "Coming 2015" conferences at E3). Technically though, there are eShop games being released (Pushmo World for example). Also, even though you "aren't counting it"...Wii Sports Club retail release in July has two games that aren't available digitally yet either (Boxing, Baseball).

Summer is usually pretty slow in general though, so nothing to get too upset about. Mario Kart 8 was a HUGE release less than 3 weeks ago, and the Wii U library is pretty solid already for how far we are into the life cycle. This Fall there are plenty of good games to be had (Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros., and Captain Toad Treasure Tracker). And 2015 is already going to be AMAZING. It's ALWAYS been this way with Nintendo systems...gaps in the release schedule.

3DS is a little worrisome though...especially since they didn't show a whole lot at E3.
