Forums - Nintendo - So... we have nothing to look forward to this summer from Nintendo?

I wish people would stop using seasons. The WORLD IS BIGGER then your little country.

Our summer will be the holidays so we shall have great games.

Uh, your little country? You mean our big Northern Hemisphere? The one in which 85% of the world's population resides?
Not going to say you don't have some point, but... you're in the "little country" here. :P

You can look forward to getting owned by me on Mario Kart 8 online this summer.

MK8 seems to be enough for the summer months. During summer you should be outside anyway, enjoying the weather and the women.

This guy knows what's up.

Set up Mario Kart 8 outside on a back porch during a nice summer night and invite some ladies over.

....that reminds me, I should set up some get-togethers....

My first date with my fiancee was us getting together to play Mario Kart 64 in June 2009. :)

Ultra Street Fighter IV
Sniper Elite 3
Murdered: Soul Suspect
Transformers RotDS
UFC
Atelier Rorona Plus: TAoA
Grid Autosport
Last of Us Remastered
Sacred 3
Risen 3
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
Diablo III Ultimate Evil Edition
Tales of Xillia 2
Madden 15

This is Sony only June-August, no Vita only games included.  All retail.

Yay for remakes and mediocre games! Yeah, this isn't going to impress anyone I'm afraid. It's quite sad how many remakes are on that list. Not even remakes of old games, but games that just released.

And yet this is still infinitely better than what Nintendo is offering.  The more you try and play down this list the worse the Wii U becomes.

If I include digital only stuff the Wii U becomes worse even still.

There are hardly any remakes on that list, not that there is anything wrong wth remakes anyway, a game remade is essentially a new game.  And it is still better than what Wii U offers.

Hey, it's not really infinitely better if the list consists of games I have no desire to play... which is exactly the way I personally would describe that list. I don't go spend money on new games just because I have time to waste, KylieDog! I don't need to fill a monthly $60 quota or something!

Summer's really slow by the looks of it, especially on Nintendo systems. And so it looks like the trend of Steam and my backlog owning my summers will once again not be broken. I'm kind of okay with this because I feel like that trend saves me a lot of money...
I'd certainly take DQ7 and Youkai Watch releasing on 3DS though... I mean come on I feel like they're right there waiting to be brought West...

I'll admit that I am disappointed that Yarn Yoshi isn't a 2014 title. I totally expected it to be, and I wish it was, because it looks bad ass and I want to play it.

That was my biggest let down of Ninty's E3. Was so ready to coop during the holidays in another epic yarn quest!

You say tomato, I say tomato

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

You should be more upset that they have next to nothing coming out in the fall for the Wii U. It's Summer, so naturally games don't really get released this season. Go outside.

Mate, I can play most of those games on the PS3. I'd rather have Wii U's line-up for 2014 than Sony's. Not a single decent exclusive game is coming out on their console this year.

And no, remakes aren't new games, maybe you're so starved for actual games on your PS4 that you think that, but that doesn't make it true.

I still have to buy Fire: Emblem Awaking, Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. All those games sound more fun to me than those on your list.

Please stop making such generalisations.
