the exclusivitivity chart is particularly interesting

actually it is. it shows just how bad a sitaution Nintendo is in. Sony and Microsoft showed 3 more the amount of games, and still, both showed games that are coming to each other systems. Nintendo's E3 on the other hand just showed how dire the third party situation is, and how most likely the console will always have long droughts between games.

The pie charts are useless, read their subtitle/legend instead

and i don't even want to ask what qualifies as "shooting" in the game type section

Games in which shooting is the primary or a major gameplay element shown at Sony's press conference...

Destiny, Uncharted, Far Cry 4, MGSV, GTAV, Dead Island 2.

And that's to say nothing of other major shooters heavily demonstrated at E3 that are also among the big holiday titles coming to PS4 like the next BF and COD.

That's to say nothing of other non-shooter exclusives coming this year like Driveclub.. If you only look for shooters it's kinda easy to find one.

Only 7 of these 46 titles coming to PS4 in 2014/early 2015 are shooters and even if you count TLOU as a shooter (it's not) that's still just 2 exclusive shooters. So your point is?

Interesting, so between MS and sony, despite all the TV talk, it was only a difference of like 2 minutes worth of talk about games

The way I read it, Sony's conference was about 20 minutes longer, so they talked for 22 minutes more than Microsoft. Which is still less than the eternity it felt like.

Percentages can be misleading...

Even though Nintendo showed only exclusives, Sony showed more than them (due to having a longer conference).

you... kind of have it wrong with Nintendo.... Nintendo didn't spend 47 minutes...That was their digital event to start the show off. They spent over 20 hours over the 3 days showing gameplay videos and stuff through the tree house live events and there was more than 12 games shown/announced as well... I don't understand why people only seem to include the fact that Nintendo did a 47 minute presentation to start off and then nothing else mattered.....I am pretty sure we are going to see Sony and MS copy the tactic Nintendo did this year next year or the year after.

Both Sony and MS already did that, just differently. They also didn't finish with just the conference

Did they? Or did other game sites like IGN do that? Because I never saw much from Sony or MS themselves going out and doing all that. It was all outside sources doing that for them where as Nintendo hosted it all for themselves and used twitch to stream it.

Oh so you want to count what Nintendo showed over 2-3 days but only want to count what Sony & MS showed at the press conference?

You obviously don't want a level playing field now do you?

Sony and MS plenty playable at the booths including Project Morpheus!

Sony had the best E3 overall!

Are the charts counting the short flash reels of indie games that both Microsoft and Sony played?

Microsoft's exclusivity chart looks like Pac-Man.

Pretty much agrees with what I felt about the press conferences.

I thought MS would have a bigger percentage of time in their conference devoted to games than Nintendo.

No way that Sony had 42 exclusives. Nintendo had the most by far.

It says that Sony showed 42 games in total.
