Unfortunately you may be right. It is one reason for a mean-spirited wish for Sunset Overdrive to fail. If it does it means Insomniac is more likely to return to R&C. But really I don't want Insomniac to suffer two epic fails in a row because that could be the death of a pretty talented studio.

Still one can hope for a late gen return for Ratchet. If PS4 truly becomes uber dominant it might be hard to resist trying to cash in by making another, proper, Ratchet and Clank game. But it does seem like Sony want to suck most of the profit from R&C, which might be why Insomniac is seeing if they can find greener pastures.

@ BMaker11. Well at least we know RaD can do decent gameplay, so we shouldn't have too much problem with confidence in that respect. It's just a question of whether they can get close to Uncharted / TLOU / GoW quality narrative flying solo. Hopefully they've had help on that score.

It didn't get a lot of attention, but they announced a new one at E3 to coincide with the movie next year. Supposedly it's a remake/reimagining of the first game.

That's exactly how I feel. Pretty isn't enough. I get the feeling that gaming this gen it's going to be harder and harder to bring in a feeling of something new. I hope I'm wrong....

He said gameplay was good and he wanted to play more but its a familiar gameplay wich is obvious caus ethey are trying to be a 3rd person shooter it doesnt have to be inovative just fun, ppl realy need ot stop waiting for inovations everytime a new game comes out, its not possible.

Agree it's stupid, if that's how we judeg games how many are good? Barely any games are innovative, play games because you enjoy them period.

Thank you kind sir my point exactly. Under the non inovative gameplay imediatilly means crap idea we have to put on the crap list games like Uncharted, Gears and God of War, Halo, Dark Souls 1 and 2 (obviously didnt inovate, Demons Souls plays exactly the same), Skyrim, Forza, Gran Turismo, every sport game in the planet, pretty much every fighting game and like 1 million other games.

All the games you listed originally had unique or fun gameplay when they were first released (or at least the IP was).

The Order looks like a prettier version of the standard linear third person shooters. The non-interactive theatrical gameplay and quicktime events aren't helping either.
