Forums - Sony - I played "The Order 1886"

Well, it is what Gears of War always have been: a good looking idiotic shooter, so, good for Sony, these things sell like hot cakes.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

So you enjoyed it? Did you do any QTEs or was it all gunplay?

There where no QTEs at all in the section I played. And yes I did enjoy it, but it was rather short.

Ohh do they? http://www.vgchartz.com/game/48824/binary-domain/ somebody should have told these guys.

I think its just like in every other genre, the good ones sell, the mediocre and bad ones don´t.

pretty much what the media is saying. Nice and pretty, but pretty average gameplay.

So pretty much what everyone's been saying- great visuals but mediocre/average gameplay.

Not unique =/= mediocre/average. Little innovation doesn't break gameplay.

Fair enough. Quicktime events and linear theatrical gameplay raise big flags, however.

Yeah, it's much better just to sit back and not be involved in a cut scene, and why press a triangle when you can open a menu, scroll through it, select health and press X.

And you're right, linear, theatrical gameplay ruined TLOU. That's probably why it sold so little and won so few awards.

TLOU was the exeption. It was made by Naughty Dog. It's pretty much incomparable.

Even then, TLOU did didn't have the greatest gameplay. I found it average at best, it was the story that did it.

And yes, I'd rather have full control over what's going on, rather than shoot at a monster just for the game to completely ignore any damage I did and have it maul me anyway.

And then throw me straight into a quicktime event, to boot.

                                                                                                               You're Gonna Carry That Weight.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

The game is already doomed ppl had labeled it as generic gameplay even before gameplay was shown, its gona get reveiws on the 8s tops and gamers will say it plays like any other shooter, wich is true for every 3rd person shooter ever but hey once a game gets a label its doomed.

This game has been mishandled from the start.

The trailer they showed last E3 portrayed a co-op heavy theme..... Turns out there is no co op at all.

and it's a 3rd person shooter.... with no multiplayer at all.

It's a single player, cinematic heavy TPS.

killed my hype

I don´t think so, I am pretty sure its gonna do pretty well. It depends on the reviews how good its gonna do but it will be profitable.
