Iwata needs sales to be saved, not enjoyable E3 videos. This Christmas will be telling, but if WiiU and 3DS get on track to beat FY expectation at all and Nintendo keep projecting profit then I'm sure Iwata is safe in his seat another year.

I'd be kind of interested in new managment with a new system, though. because relationships with other companies need to be vastly revamped.

I agree with the first part of this. A good E3 show is most likely a blip to shareholders compared to sales and profit.

The vote is next month so the winter sales season will have nothing to do with it. I think the bump in console sales and Mario Kart 8 sales will probally be enough, in addition to a good trade show... showing.

Only if he drops the tablet, especially if X1 sales number rise after dropping kinect.

I'm sure the shareholders will be appeased by a female Link and a new Star Fox.

Link is not a girl lol

People seem to be taking this rumour and running with it.

No. I still want him gone. This was all NOA and franchises that would have come back no matter what. Iwata is still a canser to Nintendo who needs to be sergically removed.

No offense, but if you're gonna talk this kinda nonsense, at least spell "cancer" correctly.

So "canser" got to you, but not "sergically"? ~_~

Personally I think they are doing great work. They are producing a LOT of great content and in a lot of different genres. It's amazing really. My two gripes are:
-I want another good RPG series. A Mistwalker title would be perfect.
-They NEED to do something to get more 3rd party support. Pay money, whatever, but Nintendo needs to get 2 or 3 key third party titles on the system. COD, AC and Batman, like in the first few years of Wii U, need to be there. Can you imagine if Nintendo showed all of their great content AND had those titles that were the cornerstone of the Sony and MS conferences available on their platform? It would be domination. Without them, however, there is still something lacking in content and variety - and hype from mainstream core gamers.

Nintendo needs third party exclusives. Multiplats aren't going to help now, or anytime soon, because Nintendo has allowed itself to be cemented as the last choice: weaker hardware, no universal achievement/trophy policy and tracking system, fewer people online in console multiplats, shoddy ports, and biggest of all, the widespread perception that Nintendo has an inferior online service or that multiplat games are always inferior, even when they are not.

Having multiplats are nice, and I will always welcome more of them, but they aren't going to help Nintendo move systems or gain marketshare for all of the reasons above. Nintendo needs more Bayonetta 2s, LEGO City Stories, Monster Hunters and Devil's Turds Thirds. These are games you can't get anywhere else, and until Nintendo shakes some of its bad stigmas and gets up to par with a couple of the things listed above, they are the only third party games that will matter to most people. Until that magical day comes, it will remain, "I only buy Nintendo systems for first party games."

Nope.

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

No. I thought the E3 was pretty bad, actually. Especially compared to the other two even though they had less to prove.

I don't think he's going to get voted out, but I think his approval is going to be lower than it was last year. Upper 60s maybe.

The amiboo figures will load Nintendo with money that's for sure... Even if they do not sell to any new users, there are enough Nintendo fans to buy all if not many of figures. I for one will buy all nintendo figures as soon as they become available.
They also showed lost of games, with more to come so they are in the right path. Unfortunately the wiiu is not going to jump from its current state, but I fully expect Nintendo to bounce back this next couple of year wuith great profits.

One good e3 doesnt save him from years of poor planning and marketing...

"Yes!! What a great show! They gave us what we wanted :D"

Um... the show is still going on They went for 7-8 hours yesterday and so far, they've been going for about 3 and a half hours. They still have content to announce sometime later this evening. I believe there is a new 3DS title being announced.
