All Squaresoft games.  Squaresoft stopped developing for Nintendo after a fallout between the Nintendo and Squaresoft presidents once Squaresoft said they're going to develop FInal Fantasy 7 on the Playstation because of the CD ROM.  It's the reason why Squaresoft was developing for Bandai's Wonderswan and Wonderswan color for several years until Iwata became president and patched things up between the two companies, when Squaresoft shifted support back to Nintendo.

 Have you not seen the huge marketing campaigns for X1 and PS4 since just before their launch? Have you not seen TV ads for the games coming out for them? They're much more prevalent than anything from Nintendo. I still find myself talking to people who don't even know what a Wii U is.

Nintendo mismanaged Wii U's identity and marketing, leading to low sales, leading to 3rd parties losing faith and patience, leaving huge gaps between the 1st party games. Since Iwata is the head guy, he's accountable for that.

Only now are they getting off their backsides and doing something about it, 18 months too late. 

Nintendo's E3 has been incredible so far and there is still more to come. You will find that most of the people that you see complaining at this point would have done so regardless of what Nintendo showed.


Star Fox and F-zero demos: "They look much worse than their predecessors. Nintendo lost their soul with the introduction of all this motion control shit."

Metroid U: "This is not Metroid Prime!"

New IP with blood and gore: "What a pathetic attempt by Nintendo to try and capture the hardcore market. Sony's/Microsoft's/X developer's IPs look so much better. They should stick to making games for kids and grand parents."

Open World 3D Mario: "Great. Yet another Mario game from the most innovative gaming company in the universe. Do they even make anything else these days?"

Third party deals: "This game is clearly held back by Nintendo's hardware and online capabilities. Looks and plays like shit. If only Sony financed this game instead."

The Legend of Zelda demo: "Jesus, the whole thing just seems so bland and boring. They clearly should have put more time on this before making the demo available to the public. Also, why is this world so bright and shiny instead of dark and gritty? I can't immerse myself in a world like this!"

Or alternatively: "Why does Nintendo aim for a realistic Zelda look when their hardware clearly isn't capable of realistic visuals?"


Etc., etc... Iwata will never be safe according to the internet. Period.

Nintendo's Digital Event was awesome, so I think he should stay for another while!

Nintendo's E3 was really enjoyable. They brought the games and a lot of hype to them. If I was Iwata, I wouldn't be worried right now. It's a smart move to make a lot of games on the least powerful console of the generation, not caring to compete with the other consoles. However, they still need to gather more gamers, and the conference seemed to be heavily focused on 1st party games made primarily for Nintendo fans. He's safe, for now.

Iwata isn't even at E3. But I disagree with all the posters here who want him fired. If someone were to take his position they wouldn't do anything differently than what they do now. It's an entertainment business and not all projects are guaranteed to sell like Wii. With a new CEO there's no bigger chance that their next project will succeed.

This E3 must Iwata's doing, since he should still be Reggie (now) direct boss. I rememver reading that he took direct control of NOA a while ago.

A CEO who cheats in a fair fight should be fired!
