duking it out? LOL some people love to lie to themselves. PS4 is almost 2 mil ahead and hasnt been out for a full year. Wii U still didnt beat PS4 with its biggest game released. Come on

It would be naive to think that the Wii U could actually outsell the PS4 this year, even if it began to sell more than the PS4 every week until the end of 2014. That being said, all this "the PS4 has the generation won" garbage needs to end, because it's just as naive. It's in the lead by just two million. That's it. And before Watch_Dogs came out, everything had lackluster sales, especially when you compare to console sales last year, where the 3DS, PS3, and 360 regularly at above 130k per week at around this time.

I know a lot of people don't like hearing it, but one game truly can change everything. The PS4 is not in such a dominant lead that it can't be over taken yet, and history proves that there's room for more than one 100k per week seller. I'm not saying it will happen, but people here are saying it can't happen, and if it could ever happen, it's now. If Sony doesn't announce a new AAA exclusive to come out by this holiday, it's lead could very much be in jeopardy. 2m isn't significant enough of a lead for Sony to be comfortable yet.

Seriously this reminds me of last years holiday season again, some Nintendo fans are so ridiculously quick to jump the gun and declare the Wii U saved.

I think the more interesting comparison is WiiU x Xbox One! With all the exclusives coming out this year I can see WiiU pulling ahead (and stay close to PS4!)

Its reality PS4 won the only question now is by how much.  Not really Sonys doing, their comp just massivly screwd up and there is no fixing those mistakes to achieve #1.  No one game cant, its pretty much common sense that one game will never appeal to enough of the marlet for it to change eeverything.

Wii Sports. Nintendogs. Brain Age. Super Mario Bros. Is that a joke? I don't think the Wii U will surpass the PS4, because I think Nintendo will pull out a successor in 2016, but if the PS3 could pull ahead of the 360 after nearly three years of atrocious sales, the XBO could definitely pull back ahead of the PS4 in the same way.

1. I don't wanna prematurely jump on that boat, but if we are talking about global sales, its not garbage nor naive. The PS4 has already won this generation. Only real debate now should really be about by how much. That "just two million lead" well, VS. WiiU its actually 1.8M with around 13months less on the market and VS. XBO its 3.6M after just an identical 7 months on the market is nothing to scoff at when you consider all the factors. It actually paints a pretty dire picture.
2. To be fair, shouldn't you be comparing the first 7 months of sales of the PS4/XBO to the first 7 months of sales of the PS3/360? If you did that, you would be surprised to see that these consoles are actually doing better than those.

As others have said, wait for E3 before asking for predictions
