Winning a European Champisonship is not the same as winning the World Cup.  Even the Soviet Union one it once and was runner up three times but they never did much in the World Cup either.  Another good example is Greece they won one 2004 historically even the US has done better in the World Cup then Greece.

The problem with the Euro is that there aren't many teams. You need a lot less luck to win it. I don't think it's possible to win a WC by a fluke. I also don't think you can win the 3 biggest tournaments in a row by a fluke. Spain played a lot of games like shit but they still earned their victories because the other teams always played even shittier. It's less that Spain were lucky to win and more that their opponents didn't have their shit together.


Each game in the emliation round the won by the score of 1-0 if its not a fluke then they won it by extreme luck instead.  Also with the Euopean Championship its probably a lot like the FIBA Basketball World Cup/Championship where not every country that qualifies sends their best squat the US pretty much would have won all of those if they always would have send their best squat but they put a higher importance on winnig the gold medal in basketball in the Olympics.

What kind of luck lets your opponents not score a single goal?

The other teams just were shit. Easy as that.

And all time record of 35 consecutive matches undefeated (tied with Brazil) is a fluke too.

Or you could look further and see that several key players of Spain are so past their prime that are looking for a team to play in countries like USA, Saudi Arabia or Qatar.

Final today is horrible to pick a winner, I don't want any of them to win. Jajaja.
