Forums - Nintendo - A clue that Bayonetta might be in Smash?

NOOOOOOOO!!!

Bayo does not belong in Smash. She's a third party character who has no prior history with Nintendo and will have been on only one Nintendo console. She doesn't have the credentials.

Snake was only twice prior to Brawl though, through a remake and a spinoff on GB not many people remember, Bayo at least has her sequel coming out as an exclusive funded by Nintendo. I don't think Bayonetta will ever be playable in some way in Smash Bros. due to how she'd likely end up upping the rating though. I don't think we'll have someone as realistic as Snake in a Smash game again to be honest, still, I'd have her in any day over Pac-Man

I've had Bayonetta locked into my various prediction rosters as the real "wtf" character (since they came out swinging with Wii Fit Trainer as the "wtf" character.)

It makes sense as cross-promotion (similar to Roy being in Smash Bros Melee before Fire Emblem 6 even released in Japan), and the fact that Sakurai is apparently personally friendly with some staff at Platinum Games. While there are many good arguments against, it's certainly not impossible.

So what? If shes popular put her in.

I think that'd be a pretty cool inclusion. I think it'd work well.

Snake didn't belong in Smash either. This isn't PS All-Stars.

Clone is not even a term in competitive smash.

No way, this isnt PSASBR. Nintendo Roster is Nintendo History! Aside from 2 characters ( but both franchises were already big in japan), no character is used to promote a game. Sakarai isnt like that.

They should put in important characters only, just cuz Bayo2 is coming exclusivly to wiiu doesn't mean she's coming. :-/

I have to agree that Snake didn't fit, but not because of his lack of Nintendo affiliation. More that even the moveset they made him, which excised all pistols, rifles, and machine guns from his inventory, still felt just "wrong." Part of the reason why he was probably my weakest character in Brawl.

Bayonetta, now, she's got moves that could fit in easily.

Doesn't mean she's not coming either. Accept it from now so you won't be disappointed when it happens
