No one is "pissing and moaning" but you about VAs needing to be in a game. Does that make you a non-fan? Fans can have preferences for art styles, and if they don't like one, they should raise their voices. You know why?

That's how change happens.

Real fans are the ones that express themselves actively in a community, whether it be through criticism opr encouragement. Fans don't just accept whatever companies roll out. Real fans know that the Wii U needs a realistic Zelda due to the way it is suffering, a realistic Zelda would move much, much more units than a cartoon Zelda. Real fans want the franchise to succeed.

You're attacking me by calling my opinions "retarded", for one. If you don't see that as immature, I don't know what to say. I don't need to grow thicker skin, you need to understand that you can't call people's opinions "retarded", as it makes you look bad, no one else. You're just showing that you are immature and can't deal with other fans criticizing a franchise.

You made an opinions thread, and I stated my opinion, which you then decided to call "retarded", which is childish beyond all means. Learn that everyone has their "wishlist" for a game, and don't attack other's opinions on them. Seriously.

I honestly can't believe what I am reading. You have to be the most entitled person I've met on this site. That's absolutely bullshit. You don't get to decide what artstyle "real fans" should demand.

One thing is clear, a realistic presentation just sells more. Even Aonuma and Miyamoto has said that numerous times. It may not be your wanted presentation though, and that's fine. If Zelda U looks completely like the Wind Waker (which it probably won't) it would still be a fantastic game. But, a realistic presentation doesn't mean bad. I can't wait to see how they'll deal with the graphics now.

They can't please everyone. Whatever the art style will be, an equal amount of hate will appear on the internet, that's for sure.

I don't want it to look like WW at all. That would bother the hell out of me lol. I love WW and I love its art, but reusing it would be as much of a cop out as the tech demo would be. I want something new. I agree with that last bit, though. I don't really care though. I have preferences, but I really just want a good game, and Zelda games are always good. the 3D ones are always flawed, but all in all, they're all really good games that I'm always glad I played.

found this:  Eiji Aonuma On Motion Controls, Zelda 3DS & WiiU

GR: So do you think you'll continue to use motion control in the future? Will you ever go back to traditional controls?

EA: I don't think we could go back to button control, especially after creating something that's as natural to use as the interface that we have with the Wii Remote Plus in Skyward Sword. I think Nintendo will continue to have that focus on motion control and we'll see that continue to evolve. And the hardware as well, in a way that will let people control things very naturally just using their own motions.

GR: Is there any particular feature of the Wii U hardware that you're excited to work with?

EA: Obviously, it's the new controller that's got the screen built into it, and in particular we're looking at how we can combine that new controller with something like motion control, and perhaps use the new controller in such a way that it becomes a new item that you're able to use to make the game feel fresh and new.

Oh god...

The good news is that Miyamoto has since countered that mindset:

"With the last game, Skyward Sword, that was a game where you had motion control to use your weapons and a lot of different items," explained the creator of the series. "And I thought that was a lot of fun, but there were some people who weren’t able to do that or didn’t like it as much and stopped playing partway through it. So we’re in the phase where we’re looking back at what’s worked very well and what has been missing and how can we evolve it further."

That's what Zelda needs. Evolution, not redefining. Hopefully Miyamoto keeps an eye on the development, because the Wii U can't afford a Skyward Sword right now (an experimental game can come at the end of the gen, right now they need to be conservative in the development).

Personally, I think the way Wind Waker HD was done is perfection.  Returning to the tried and true standard control inputs ("what's worked very well") combined with the enhancements that the Gamepad brought with the map display and easy item management ("what has been missing") is exactly the path I'd like the new game to take.

And people want Miyamoto to simply retire! Pffft!

I would even be satisfied if all the gamepad did for it was offscreen play. >.>

The small (and for the most part, optional) features of WWHD were perfect. That's evolution.

Less fucking bloom. Never pull a WWHD again, Nintendo. never.

An absolutely fantastic soundtrack.
And this is where I have some questions regarding voice acting. In 3D Zelda games, the music has often sort of served as the emotion of the moment for me and the primary focus during a story centered dialogue segment in lieu of voices. I like characters being characterized by quick vocal bits and reactions like they have been and keeping the music up during their "dialogue". (As long as the vocal bits aren't as annoying as some of the ones in Skyward Sword. The squeals of people like that lady who lets you clean her house and the far too loud response noise from Fi were awful.)

I think I might miss that if they opt for voice acting, because of course then the voice needs to be heard above all else in the scene to fulfill its purpose.

I think voice acting is a distinct design choice we don't necessarily need to be modern, but I'd totally be down for it, I'd juts have to be convinced by hearing it first.

What is a game that has a densely packed 3D world like you desire, spemanig? I can't think of one right now. Do you just want the whole world to be like SS's land segments? Could be good. But part of me has really enjoyed the wide open spaces of 3D Zelda in a way different from how I enjoy 2D Zelda.

I don't want to see Zelda pulling out hammers, crossbows and boomerangs. Link pulling out big stuff, things he couldn't possibly carry.
