If you can't take critisism and someone arguing your points, that's your issue. If I didn't care about your opinions, I wouldn't bother arguing them.

I can't take someone that completely ignores what other people think and then calls them "non-fans" when they don't agree with them. You made a post for a Zelda wishlist, and as soon as someone comes in with their own thoughts you bash their ideas as "retarded", and refuse to listen to any and all criticism. You've done this to multiple people in this thread, why even bother making an opinion thread?

I didn't call anyone a non-fan when they disagreed with me. I called people who feel the need to riot over something as insignifigant as an artstyle nonfans, because they are. I don't care if I agree with their opinion. If you're going to piss and moan and "riot" because a game didn't adopt the artstyle you prefer and you feel like you're entitled to something else, you're not a fan; you're a brat.

I didn't bash anyone's opinion or ideas. I critisized things I didn't agree on, just like people critisized me on this very thread. I didn't whine and say that they where "bashing my ideas." I backed up my ideas until they felt satisfied enough to move on. If you can't take criticism, you shouldn't voice an opinion in the first place. Get a thicker skin. You're acting like I'm personally attacking you.

The "retarded" comment was about your convition that out of the tens of thousands of talented voice actors, there's not one alive that is talented enough to accurately, satisfyingly, and authentically portray a character as cliche as Ganondorf. You don't think that "idea" is retarded? Fine. It's not retarded. It's close minded and it's disrespectful to every talented voice in the industry.

No one is "pissing and moaning" but you about VAs needing to be in a game. Does that make you a non-fan? Fans can have preferences for art styles, and if they don't like one, they should raise their voices. You know why?

That's how change happens.

Real fans are the ones that express themselves actively in a community, whether it be through criticism or encouragement. Fans don't just accept whatever companies roll out. Real fans know that the Wii U needs a realistic Zelda due to the way it is suffering, a realistic Zelda would move much, much more units than a cartoon Zelda. Real fans want the franchise to succeed.

You're attacking me by calling my opinions "retarded", for one. If you don't see that as immature, I don't know what to say. I don't need to grow thicker skin, you need to understand that you can't call people's opinions "retarded", as it makes you look bad, no one else. You're just showing that you are immature and can't deal with other fans criticizing a franchise.

You made an opinions thread, and I stated my opinion, which you then decided to call "retarded", which is childish beyond all means. Learn that everyone has their "wishlist" for a game, and don't attack other's opinions on them. Seriously.

I honestly can't believe what I am reading. You have to be the most entitled person I've met on this site. That's absolutely bullshit. You don't get to decide what artstyle "real fans" should demand. You're acting like stylistic presentation decreases the quality of the game and "fans" should demand your specific opinion. It makes you come off as a close minded brat. Inconsequencial change doesn't need to happen. There's nothing objectively wrong with any artstyle, the same way there isn't anything wrong with adult Link. If the next Zelda has the stupid TP artstyle and adult Link that you seem to think is objectively required for the franchise even though it's literally appeared in one game and is the least canon of all the artstyles because of it, of course I'm going to voice my disappointment, but I'm not going to go on a tyrade demanding that Aonuma make the Zelda game that I personally think the fans "deserve," because I'm not a close-minded idiot. But you make it sound like it's an inate flaw; an objective issue when the franchise represents itself in any other artstyle than the one that you specifically want. When you do that, you stop expressing an opinion and start feinting it off as fact and that is retarded, if we're being frank.

I can't stop you from feeling that way, but I will definitely be soothed by the music of your frustrations when everything you think you're entitled to is reconfirmed to be absent from this next Zelda title. Riot until my ears bleed.

I never said that anyone was pissing and moaning about anything. I said that those who do, are brats. That's you taking things personally, again.

But make no mistake about it, thinking that no one can ever voice a good Ganon is retarded. Come up with a valid arguement as to why every single voice actor in all of videogames would portray a shitty ganon, and I will take that back. I guess that is an opinion I called retarded. I guess it is childish, but compared to the kinds of things you've said here, I think I'll be okay.

Again, no ones "attacking" anything. Critisim. Thicker skin. Rinse-repeat.

Honestly, I'm not going to subject myself further to arguing with children. "Real fans know that the Wii U needs a realistic Zelda due to the way it is suffering." Jesus Christ.

I hope it's as big as Twilight Princess, and fun to play.

Other than that, I agree with this statement: explore-dungeon-boss-explore-dungeon-boss. That sounds good.

But that's how every Zelda is though :P

Yep.

They hinted at multiplayer for the next Zelda title. I think it would be incredible if its like Demon's Souls where you can help people other people out and do it Four Swords style with every Link a different color. The host of course would be green. This though I think would be too ambitious for them. My expectations have been low with anything mulitplayer related. The thing I would like it done this way is that the multiplayer never hampers the single player experience. It is something I wish was implemented more in games than the whole focus on multiplayer death match sessions.

I love this idea, with one minor tweek. Allow us to customize our link. Like we start off with the iconic green tunic and hat, but as the game goes on, there are aesthetic alterations that we can make to his attire. Nothing crazy. Maybe a different kind of tunic. Maybe a cloak. Maybe a different kind of hat. It would all still look like something that Link would where, but it could be really cool. I'd love to play as pink hair Link again lol. I know that Zelda games love their master swords, but what if there where numerous upgradable swords in the game?

The point is, they would all use the same model, so it wouldn't be like creating a character in your likeness. You would just be creating your ideal Link, and that's what would show up in the games of others. I always loved how WW's new game plus allowed Link to wear his alternate costum, so I'm probably bias lol.

I never said anything was wrong with the artstyle. It sounds like you don't even bother reading my posts. Wind Waker was my favorite Zelda, easily, and that probably won't ever change.

I'm talking about pure financial aspects here, casue you know, this is a sales-based website. A realistic Zelda is going to sell a lot more, period. If you can't notice that, I don't know what to say. I don't mind experimenting with different art styles, but Zelda is one of the last things Nintendo has left to keep the Wii U afloat, and they need all the sales they can get. A realistic Zelda will be that catalyst for them. They tried to market a cartoon Zelda with WWHD (which plenty of people have never played, so it was practically a new title for most people), and it didn't have much of an impact. A fan wants the series to do amazing in the long run, and if it means that I'm "self-entitled" for supporting a certain artstyle that will allow it to be that way, so be it.

You pretend like Nintendo is infallible and can never mess up. You're wrong. Nintendo has made plenty of bad moves, and by the outcry of fans they'll learn what those are.

And you're not attacking me? Please.

That's FOUR times you've attacked me in one post. Grow up, and start being a little bit more courteous.

And by the way, I have a voice for Ganon, and I doubt any VA could emulate it, because IT IS MY OWN MADE UP ONE. Once someone else pushes their voice in, the way I've imagined Ganon since I was a kid would change, and judging from the opinions expressed in this thread, I'm not the only one. That's like wanting Mario and Bowser also fully-voiced, it's just not something needed.

One thing is clear, a realistic presentation just sells more. Even Aonuma and Miyamoto has said that numerous times. It may not be your wanted presentation though, and that's fine. If Zelda U looks completely like the Wind Waker (which it probably won't) it would still be a fantastic game. But, a realistic presentation doesn't mean bad. I can't wait to see how they'll deal with the graphics now.

They can't please everyone. Whatever the art style will be, an equal amount of hate will appear on the internet, that's for sure.

3. His job is to make a game that will sell. And just cause I'm saying that not doing a realistic game would be a bad financial move makes me a "non-fan"? Get over yourself, please.

Bollocks - his job is to ejeculate whatever he likes to "true fans" from his masturbatory mind, and the rest of "non-fans" can go fuck themselves. /sarcasm

Seriously, while he did make some good things for the franchise, his dislike of original Zeldas, his borderline pathological love toward puzzles for the puzzles' sake and most of all his self-importance is only running the franchise into the ground. His retirement is long overdue, and if there was any sense in Nintendo they would take Zelda from him long time ago.

Agreed 100%.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

found this:  Eiji Aonuma On Motion Controls, Zelda 3DS & WiiU

GR: So do you think you'll continue to use motion control in the future? Will you ever go back to traditional controls?

EA: I don't think we could go back to button control, especially after creating something that's as natural to use as the interface that we have with the Wii Remote Plus in Skyward Sword. I think Nintendo will continue to have that focus on motion control and we'll see that continue to evolve. And the hardware as well, in a way that will let people control things very naturally just using their own motions.

GR: Is there any particular feature of the Wii U hardware that you're excited to work with?

EA: Obviously, it's the new controller that's got the screen built into it, and in particular we're looking at how we can combine that new controller with something like motion control, and perhaps use the new controller in such a way that it becomes a new item that you're able to use to make the game feel fresh and new.

What the fuck is wrong with Aonuma!? -.-

He has an "artistic" vision for the future, which is complete shit. There's no reason for him to be experimenting with Zelda right now when it is one of the last franchises Nintendo has to keep the Wii U afloat. Aonuma has no clue what the hell to do with Zelda anymore.

I feel like there's an extra "padding" in every 3D Zelda game. It's padding-explore-dungeon-boss-padding-explore-dungeon-boss. Too many people dislike hyrule field/the sea/the sky. Some like one, but few like them all, and that's because of a fundemental flaw in the game that nessesitates them. Personally, I like the sailing in WW, but I completely get why other people don't, and there's really no defending it. It's less exploration and as much as I loved WW's sailing, if WW was literally Minish Cap in 3D, it would have been a far more satisfying game because there is always something to do and no down time unless you yourself create it at your leisure through personal exploration. It's what makes the 2D games so great, and runs in opisition with the 3D games where downtime is forced on you when the game needs to load via the sea/sky/field.

My wish for Zelda U is to let Nintendo work on it without listening to fanboys. Everyone asks for something different and its obvious they can´t please everyone: but of course they will try and thats when the mess occurs.
So, just let them work.

I agree 110%. Even if it's not something I personally want, it will always be a better game then if they made the game they think I want.
