Forums - Nintendo - New 3DS revision coming at E3! superchunky speculation

I want more and better 3D!

I would potentially be interested in one with better build quality, my brother got himself one and while I like the clamshell design, it does feel cheap compared to my Vita or phone

Of course, the reason it feels cheaper is because it is cheaper

More likely there will be minor revisions to make the console even cheaper

3DS Lite to take place of 3DS 169.99$ but XL still has 199.99$

Yeah, I think a redesign of all their 3ds models or price drops or both, are incoming. Has anyone else seen the commercial for the 2ds, and that they dropped the price on it to $99? I think the other models will follow suit...

yep nintendo will showcase the new 3ds in e3... just like 3ds XL and 2DS... right????

3DS TV.
Is something that looks like wii U gamepad. The below screen is in your hand and the TV is the above screen.
Is a gamepad where you can put 3DS cartridges.
It can also work like a second wii U gamepad.

ok, stop kidding, i dont think they will redesing 3DS now.
maybe next year, and i would bet in including NFC for figurines, new design and longer batery. 2 versions a cheaper 2D version and a 3D version. both still cheaper than XL.

I think its predictable considering how long its been since they have done anything with it. They like to change something every year to bump sales.

Nintendo 2.5D?

I have a DS and so far i see litle to no reason to upgrade. I'm certanly that their next hanheld will have backward compatibility, so why bother? Even the zelda on the system don't really do anything for me so far.

But the biggest problem is related to a thing called circle pad pro. After DSi, i was sure taht nitnendo has no problem on releasing revision model that alienates part of its market, so I'm pretty sure that soon or later they will launch a system with 2 analogues, and when they do, I will reconsider purchasing one.

Never understood the cry for analogs. Pad works well and the system simply doesn't need dual analog. idk... just think that is the most minor thing.

3DS has a lot of great games. I'm not a portable guy, but my kids love theirs and we never have issues finding good games.

TBH i found 3DS to be better then their home console offer. THe games on the system are just better. I use to be a casual handheld gamer but now i spend more time on it then consoles.

I'm not saying that i have a problem with it, I'm saying that developers will have a problem with it. There is a good amount of DSi games out there that i can't enjoy because i have old revision, and this is not something that i'm confortable about. As soon as a revision with 2 analogs come out, games only playable with 2 stick will come out too, and for the OG owner they will just say: get a CPP.

Personally I like the CPP because it adds weight to the console. Makes it better to hold.

Saving that, I wish Nyko released what they prototyped with battery pack
