As some of you are aware the Nintendo website no longer displays/advertises/etc the 3DS. Only the XL and 2DS. (see here)

With that in mind it seems obvious they are phasing it out and making room for something to fill-in that gap.

My prediction is:

1. 3DSXL price drop by $20 to $40.
2. 3DS redesign to focus less on 3D (akin to 2DS) and more on battery/size/general improvements.

What do you think? Is it coming? What do you want to see?

We need to speculate on the improvements....I know they will get rid of the 3D camera.

Maybe a 3ds with a better camera and general improvements like you said... I say its the 3dsi

I don't know if it will come, but I know I would like it to.

A 3DS with an ethernet port.

Is there a 2DSXL? Maybe that? Or maybe a version of the 2DS you can close, similar to every other DS?

also the shipments for the original 3DS are almost nonexistant, it being phased out is very plausible.

I want a 3DS TV. Whith actual power able to render all games in native HD on a big screen.

Nintendo need to change the camera, so it's possible
