According to European outlet Next-Gamer the sales numbers for Sony‘s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft‘sXbox One have been revealed. It appears that PS4 has outsold Xbox One by a wide margin thus far. PS4 launched on November 29th and has since sold an estimated 250,000 units by the end of 2013. On the other side of the coin, Xbox One launched November 22nd, one week earlier than PS4, and has sold 100,000 units.

We have PS4 at 266k and Xbone at 135k at the end of 2013.

About 2 million bottles of pepsi are sold in germany every day. (cola consumption lies at around 80 liters per year for every german citizen with pepsi holding around 15 % market share. That's 0.02 liters per citizen a day.)

So lets say the promotion goes on for maybe three months. We're looking at 200 million bottles of pepsi. Granted, the standard size is 1.5 liters around here and there are also cans and small bottles without the promotion. So let's cut that in half to around 100 million bottles. With 10.000 winners that's pretty much a winning chance of 0.01 %. So out of 10.000 bottles, there is exactly one winning code.

Yeah, the chances are bigger than at the lottery. But it's still very unlikely. Let's not forget that some of the winning codes may never be sold and rot in some warehouse instead.

How do you know that is not Pepsi trying to sell more than Coca-Cola?!?!?! The few times I have visited Germany I tend to see Coke way more than Pepsi.

Oh, I don't like Pepsi but I definitely will buy 2 bottles!

Coca Cola has about 60 % market share, they are absolutely dominating in germany. But still, it's not Pepsi alone, would be way too expensive for PR. It's called Cross Promotion. Pepsi makes advertising on their bottles for Xbox, Microsoft is giving the consoles in exchange. It's pretty common.

PS4 Has More Than Doubled Xbox One Sales In Germany

It was a joke... i dont know the exact numbers. The part that said "i jest" should have given it away.

I estimatebe 60 percent sellthrough with this pricecut.

Pepsi? Why not Coca Cola? I heard they are the shitz!

I hope this convinces Coca cola to do this with the One in other countries to take the momentum away from that tasteless crap pepsi delivers

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

A simple way to get more Xbox One sales in Germany is to make more games that appeal to PC gamers that won't be ported to PC. Some big WRPGS, strategy games (with keyboard/mouse support), resurrected PC franchises, etc would sell millions of consoles there.
