Noooo. It was inferior to the godly TTYD. But not dog vomit.

Honestly, I couldn't even finish Super Paper Mario, really wasn't worth the time to play it. The only thing that stood out whatsoever was the sequence where you had to pay off the broken vase. I kept the button held down with my foot while I played Loco Roco. I really wasn't engaged by SPM before that section of the game so it was merely the straw that broke the camel's back. Maybe it wasn't terrible but it certainly wasn't a good game.
TTYD...such a nice game.
Without a doubt Paper Mario 2. Its even very high on my best games of all time list!
Im surprised to see that Super Paper Mario has less fans than the original, i really loved the story, but i know why people hate it :P

Eh. I thought the story, soundtrack and sidequests were all pretty great!

PM is definetly limited by the 64, on the GameCube it really becomes apparent how much more powerful it was in TTYD.
Also Shadow Queen and Super Bowser were some of the hardest bosses I ever faced.
I bought 10 life shrooms just to beat him and with Shadow Queen I had to perfect shield nearly every attack.
