Te onl thig in that list i think is the controller. Very minor thing in my opinion. Everything else was probably aleady being workd on

Oh and 1 more thing:

Now, If you intend on downloading DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus Edition, and upgrading to the full game experience, you will have access to the full game even if your PlayStation Plus subscription runs out.

Cool, doent change the fact the original plan wasnt anticonsumer

Sorry I can't hear you over all this swag that Sony has right now.

I know full well that we are typing on the internet. :D

Sony will keep up their "for the gamers" image.

My 8th gen collection

was going to buy the game at full price anyways lol.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5

Good news on the reversal! Now I will put back in the pre-order I cancelled yesterday. I had a feeling they would do the right thing.  Having that terrible option made no sense whatsoever.  Next time maybe they will just put out a regular demo.

Good to see people power winning out. Probably some idiot in Sony corporate land totally oblivious.

They'd be in legal difficulty asking for money, effectively agreeing to a contract once that money passes hands, and then saying it's invalid based on a subscription ending, especially when all previous precedence contradicts this when you bought something on PS+.

Unfortunately, the Terms of Service for Plus allows them to consider the retail upgrade as DLC, doing such allows them to legally revoke access because they had it listed as DLC for a free game on PS+ thus allowing them to revoke access to the PS+ edition and control the right to ownership.

Luckily, consumers were vigalant and Sony was forthcoming enough to correct it.

Plus they will most likely not try it again.

That was dangerously close to full blown DRM.

I agree. It's a BS decision. They have never had Plus discounted products tied to your PS+ account, so it's not OK for them to start, now. Especially when the discount is a measly $10 off a $60 game. Maybe if they were only charging you $10 or $15 to upgrade, but DEFINITELY NOT when they are charging you $50.

Having said that, I fully expect Sony to do the right thing and reverse they're decision if plenty of people make themselves heard.

This is the problem. Sony has proven time and time again that they will fix problems that consumers have with games, look at Guerilla Games game patches or PS4 HDCP removal.

Some people want to defend it, positing that because its an option its harmless.

They constantly repeat themseleves saying just choose the retail version until they get blue in the face, completly missing the entire point of this thread. Its not about me, its about those who don't know better.

I know that the upgrade is entirely optional, but that does not make it ok. The X1 DRM was an option because people didn't have to buy an X1. That didn't stop the backlash from happening however.

If at least 1 person, gets the upgrade, believing the current advertising that its a full game, and realizes that the only way to keep playing a game that they paid 50$ for because its called DLC is to be a ps+ member, then that is what I have a problem with. That is at least 1 consumer who has been exploited.

Sony needs to clarify, they are responsible for the exclusive, and since its pre-release we can actually stop it before any damage is done.

Worse yet, even if it is in an accident depending on its success, it could easily become a regular thing.

I agree.  I am glad that Sony was quick to fix this, whether it was a failure in communication or a bad policy.  But, it definitely wouldn't have happened if gamers didn't voice their opposition.

>Give people game for free
"This is shit it was delayed anti-consumer shit i was scammed"

>Give people a discount with conditions
"This is shit they are anti-consumers conditions"

>You can still pay full price for the game
"Why would I do that this is utter shit"

Is it utterly stupid or do I just don't get people ?
