I really had the urge to play it recently which is why I watched the LP, but I still want to play it again anyways. I think I will during the summer.I'm sure there's a ton of optional dialogue and details that I missed in my first playthroughs. 
And yeah, I was trying to think of a character that I appreciated in any game as much as Ellie, and I can't really think of anyone. She just has a lot of depth to her and the relationship is very natural. One of my favorite aspects of the game, really. None of it feels forced.
