for every one of those games you mention there was about 10 shovelware titles, and what are these shovelware gems. Because they were all pretty much terrible if not mediocre. I will go through your list of games...now

If thats the best of the best then either, my expectations were too high, or your's or too low. maybe both, maybe neither. IMHO thats not a good list of games. Especially considering the HD twins BLOW those out the water. WITHOUT any of the shovelware crap (well Kinect and a bit of Move).

If you enjoyed those good for you. I didnt think the library was good, doesnt helped they pretty much stopped some time ago. So again, yeah it felt half assed. even in the games.

Interesting you say this now, weren't you the one who was amazed I sold my 3DS due to what I percieved as a mediocre game line up? This Wii line up was three times better than what the 3DS had back then, and even still rivals the 3DS today.

Oniyide never cared for Metroid games!!! There should be some sort of gaming version of godwin's law which states that when someone in an online gaming conversaion bad mouths Metroid they automatically lose the argument.

well thats an ignorant train of thought. Saying i never cared for something is badmouthing now? Never said the games were bad, just that i dont care for them. IMHO they kind of bore me. Except Super and Other m whichi kinda liked.

i know you're banned, but when you come back i wish you would stop stating your opinion as fact. YOU think the WIi had a library thats 3 times better than 3ds I dont think that, its that simple

Edit: whats even more crazy is you didnt even attempt to try to counter any of my arguments, you pulled 3ds out of your butt for some reason, i didn even mention it! lol their not even in the same gen. So either you agree with me on some level or you cant counter it becasue...opinions

We got through a lot of batteries until we bought the rechargeables. But what bugged me the most was having to use the wiimote to point at the onscreen keyboard to type things in. Most cumbersome.

First 3-4 years of the Wii was great we got many awesome games from nintendo - then the magic teetered quickly afterwards

This!

When it comes to motion control, I didn't mind for simple things like tricking in MK Wii or spin attack in Galaxy. Other games they forced it way too much. I hated playing Madden on it because every action had some sort of stupid motion to it.

These. I hardly ever bought games that abused motion controls though. The lack of HD was the biggest issue to me because it hindered simple ports. A multiplatform game would be PS3, XBox360 and PC, maybe even DS and PSP but not Wii.

My thread for teaching VGC some Nigerian slangs

loved controls, loved game selection, loved general hardware, etc.

My griped had to be the online structure and that it wasn't mature yet. WiiU has done tremendous work and fixing that.

the abuse of motion controls where it wasnt necessary or inovative.
DKCR is the main example.

friend codes.

focus in party games instead of bringing games like zelda SS and the localization of xenoblade earlier.

I agree! The motion controls were pretty annoying in Returns! Glad to see that Tropical Freeze fixes that issue!

Anyone who loves video games and doesn't say motion control is an idiot. This feature ruined parts of games in a way that almost made me hate them. Mario Galaxy began the crap with the stupid star bits and bubble stages, Zelda Skyward sword was a good idea but it was still buggy even with Motion +. And, it made SS too easy because the controls weren't definite. I'm just glad Smash and Mario Kart allowed you to use GC controllers.

Anyone who doesn't have the same opinion as you is an idiot?  Nice.

The graphics.

Not having HD.

A lot of the games were fun. I still play Brawl with my brothers and sisters pretty often.

But overall I felt that a lot of the games were really overrated and didn't live up to the hype. I really disliked Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy 1/2 was so linear and boring to me. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii were fun but they weren't as good as their previous releases. My siblings who never played GameCube games before the Wii ended up playing GameCube games that I had more than the actual Wii games.

The games also lacked ambition and charm compared to the other two systems and relied on gimmicks a lot of the time.

I hate a lot of JRPG games but I managed to play Ni No Kuni a few months back and it might possibly be one of my favourite games ever. It had a lot of that older Nintendo charm that is lacking in recent Nintendo titles.
