The first time I saw the GamePad, I thought, "Whoa! This screen is perfect for video chatting in online multiplayer games if developers aren't going to put major gameplay functions on the GamePad screen that can be played without the screen."

So has there been any words about video chatting in SSB4 and Mario Kart 8 with the GamePad screen?

I don't see the point in video chatting while playing. It would just drag my attention away from the screen.

Video Chatting would not only be nonsensical, but it would drain power that could be used better for something else.
IDK how people argue that things that distract from gaming improve the experience.

Err, I don't see how that would be very useful. Although I must say that the camera on the gamepad is VERY underused.
