its far from gauranteed but still possible. At this point in its life Gamecube had been $149 for nearly a year while Wi U has been $299 since launch plus Gamecube had a bigger selection of big hitter first party games. By now it already had Mario, Smash Bros, Luigi's Mansion, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, Star Fox, Pikmin while Wii U has 2 Marios, Donkey Kong, Pikmin and a Zelda remake (not gonna count Wii Series since that market is long gone).

Basically it has a shot with price reductions and more big first party titles, i wouldnt be surprised if it passes Gamecube but at the same time i wouldnt be surprised if it fails to do so either.

Yes, I think it's possible. Even if there is a 3-million gap between GameCube and Wii U, IF you look at game sales, you will see that the two selling best games of GameCube, released before the end of 2003 although major Nintendo games for Wii U will release in 2014 but also in 2015 (probably next Zelda, next Smash and maybe another Mario).

Moreover Smash Bros. Mellee released in the beginnning of the GameCube which sold many Cubes. It's not released yet for Wii U.

I'm confident. Wii U will rise.

wii u isn't looking for special ports. what do you mean by copies of ps4/xone games? wii u IS fighting straight up vs the CURRENT gen systems that are ps4 and Xone. you are free to dislike their game offerings but you can't say they aren't fighting because of that. for example, wii u 's game offerings make me want to buy the console while ps4 and xone game offerings barely makes me think of buying one of them in the next 4 years. You've been spouting this stuff since before specs were released. It is miles behind the Ps4. There is no arguing that fact except out of sheer ignorance. I mean, it has 20% of Ps4's RAM for games alone. Meaning, Ps4 has a 400% difference over Wii U in RAM for games. If that's not a significant difference then I dont know what is. If you mean the Wii U's competitors are Ps3 and 360 then I suppose you are correct

don't call others ignorant and follow with something that can only be described as that. you superficially compared the one area where the consoles are probably the closest. and anyone with one good eye can see there's no relevant difference between the consoles.

Youre right. they do, and to tht al you need to look at is the best looking home console game to date in infamous. I'll lok at.... well no wii u exclusive looks much better on the wii u than ps3 games so im not sure what i should look at there. But in an age in gaming where the developers are using 4-5gb of RAM a console with 1gb availble just ain going to cut it without significant sacrifices. No logically arguing that
