No worries! Final Fantasy is easily going to save the PS4 in Japan!

Which one?

Final Fantasy XIV of course! Even the COMG thread says that!

I missed the latest update on COMG but I have to admit I am quite surprised by those numbers.

I'm on board, Ps4 is saved!

This will be a depressing week for Japan Sale - if these numbers are close

Tax hike, no games, handheld centered market we all know the story by now. Japanese hardware sales will be a nice little boost each week to compliment EU/NA/RoW territories where sales are strong.

And when the generation ends, PS4 sales in Japan will still be several million, hardly anything to be sniffed at.

I thought people on VGC have ''supply constraints'' on CTRL + P.

Anyway to be expected, Japan only cares about handheld.

this was expected all u have to do is remember...
1) there is a tax hike so everthing down not ps4 alone
2) ps4 has no games for the Japanese market right now!

I'm searching for the surprise, no luck yet.

i been saying this will happen for months now.

I'm willing to bet you weren't saying it because of the tax hike...

No games, no sales. Just like with the Vita we'll probably have to wait a year or something until the third party motor gets running in Japan (since Sony themselves don't really make much japan centric software), then we'll see whats really possible. If it's still bad then, then we can start dooming it. :D

Also overall the whole week looks pretty bad, Japan's not what it used to be.

Gibson “leaked“ latest Famitsu numbers;

I think it would've been fair to mention every console/handheld is down after the tax hike

ps4 was down even when the others were up (before the tax thing), so it's only natural for it to be down even more this week.
