Several games that are multi-play are already being announced with 1080p parity..

Like what? Wolfenstein? Considering it looks like a 2006 game (though the gameplay seems nice, thankfully!), i'd be surprised if the XB1 couldn't do 1080p.

Witcher 3 devs already said PS4 version is going to have higher res

Watch Dogs will probably have higher res, if the old "leak" is to be believed

You can't really use games that look really dated as examples. That's like praising the XB1 for running a HD remaster of previous gen at 1080p/60fps. Whoopdidoo.

That didn't stop Titanfall from being 792p on X1 and before people start calling me a troll, yes Titanfall looking like a 2006 game is an exaggaration, but I think we can all agree that Titanfall is not a graphical showcase.

I was going to mention TF too but that's not really fair because it's a MP only game. Additional players bog down performance. Same reason why Killzone MP has lower res than SP.

Though yes, with graphics that dated, i'm sure it could run at 1080p/60fps on PS4, even as a MP game.

Huge imagination and a lot of faith makes a Xbox One fanboy.

Seriously?

(Xbox one 1st ed. power) x2 (DX12) x1.5 (eSRAM secret sauce) x infinity (power of cloud) .

WOW - I'm selling my PS4

I love how some people are so quick to dismiss a comment from the CEO of a tech company working on a very impressive next-gen tech demo.

Well its either that or Physics is wrong again.

Honestly if it doesn't happen soon then the damage will already be done, X1 is gonna get the stigma of having inferior multiplats and people will always just assume PS4 has surperior multiplats and buy them on there, similar thing happened to PS3, but it wasn't as bad.

DYING LIGHT, Murdered: Soul Suspect, EA Sports UFC, Wolfenstien, are just some of the current announced to be 1080p.   We still have no word on Watch Dogs.  Witcher 3 is a year away now.. so saying about a game thats a year away is useless..

Ok this is getting ridiculous.

carefuly that is very close to bannable these days,   slob got banned for using the word desperate.

ot:   if true, this just confirms that the gap was even larger to begin with ;)    we all know there is a 50% gap...     if the ps4 is at 100%,  then xb1 should now be at 66%.    so at the start of the gen, the xb1 was only 33% as strong as the ps4 ;)

I am Torgo, I take care of the place while the master is away.

Ha.. i won my bet, but i wasnt around to gloat because im on a better forum!  See ya guys on Viz

Oh boy, this bollocks again.

OK, for those out of the loop here are some pics (DX12 will do more or less what Mantle is doing right now):

So yeah, it will do miracles for THEIR game and others like it that benefit greatly from those APIs solving CPU overheads. Other that that:

In all honesty I don't think the performance will be that great. There is a thing called optimization and software but I don't think something already outdated and not that great in terms of hardware would be able to do wonders. Technology hasn't gone that far.

Of course I could be wrong. I have to see it to believe it.

I guess the secret sauce stuff will ramp up again towards E3 where we'll get another load of bullshit demos that will look a lot better than the final product... As long as people keep falling for it, it will continue.

MS would have to be pretty silly to do that. The X1 already has a pretty bad reputation in regards to certain things, and the Forza 5 stuff put a foul taste in a lot of peoples mouths. Doing it again would be like taking your credibility and punching it repeatedly into small peaces. The damage would be considerably larger in the long run than any short term benefit they might gain.

Only a portion of the market care a lot about having great graphics. Everyone on the other hand is offended by being lied too. Not a great trade off :/

Still, we will see. Hopefully neither Sony or MS are dumb enough to ever go down that root again. If you want to show a target render fine, but at least show something below your expectations. That way you can please people when it looks better, not piss them off when it looks worse :P

Murdered also looks dated. Dying light looks "okay". Ea Sports UFC? lol.

But hey why bother arguing with you when time is going to prove me right.
