People don't hate him because of "sony bias" or whatever. After he backtracked on his 1080p comments, bitched about a trophy being sexist, and cried on twitter about Sony not sending him a free PS4, this man lost what little credibility he had.

Just because he liked TLOU doesn't mean he wasn't biased, everyone has a bias.
His was blantaly obvious, and in terms of a fan it was within accepatble bounds to not be a fanboy, but as a gaming journalist it was scathing.
