Forums - Gaming - Facebook buys Oculus Rift for $2 billion

I'm sure Facebook will use it for more efficient file access :)

Bye Oculus, Welcome to Morpheus!

The timing is so perfect, Morpheus announcement, OR death, it's strange.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Interesting. Maybe they had to because they saw Google already bidding. Doesn't really change anything for me.
People always like to equate every product a company makes to every other product or company it acquires, which is just silly. Also interesting how so many people don't like FB but apparently can't stop using it.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Rift DK2 preorder... I'm genuinely considering cancelling it.

OK, whatever interest I had just disappeared the instant I realized this was not a joke thread.

Wow Oculus is worth 2 billion? somehow I doubt that very much and think Facebook overpaid a lot of money for this.

Even with Facebook spending billions I just can't see this as being successful. Plus selfies wont look nearly as cute with those goggles.

And I'm out! Sony Morpheus it is.
