Mass Effect 2 & Skyrim were both pretty excellent. I haven't finished Xenoblade yet, but its definitely one of the better JRPGs I've played in a while.

I only played Mass Effect 2. Witcher 2, Xenoblade Chronicles, Lost Odyssey, Valkyria Chroncles (and a few others like The Last Story, Tales of Vesperia, Magna Carta 2, Blue Dragon, Enchanted Arms, Final Fantasy XIII, etc.).

For me and what I want from an RPG, Lost Odyssey stands as the undisputed champ. My theory is that it got the low scores for being too similar to 6th gen RPGs when reviewers were looking for something fresher. Little did they know that 6th gen styled JRPG's done right would be an endangered species. I think that if it released right now absolutely unchanged, the scores would be higher.

Easily Xenoblade. There are so many awesome things about that game....such as the glorious music! The music is so damn amazing! ＾ｖ＾

Only Mummelman mentioned Borderlands 2? It's the GOTG for me. ME1&2 were very good as well but 3 pissed me off so much. All the choices had no effect what so ever. I blame EA.

DS (this is a particularly hard one).
