I'm confused. Admittedly I haven't checked through the NPD thread yet because I've been offline, but still, looking at the OP:

Software
1. Call of Duty: Ghosts (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, PC)
2. The Lego Movie Videogame (360, PS3, 3DS, Wii U, Xbox One, PS4, Vita)
3. NBA 2K14 (360, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, PC)
4. Thief (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
5. Grand Theft Auto V (360, PS3)
6. Battlefield 4 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)
7. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (360, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Wii U, PC)
8. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, 360)

That doesn't show Bravely Default > Lightning Returns. That shows Lightning Returns > Minecraft > Bravely Default.

That said, the fact it showed up on NPD top 10 is a victory in my eyes. Sold miles better than I was expecting.

I'm just happy that a 3rd party original IP JRPG succeeded. This just shows the power of brand name, because Final Fantasy should be dead after 2010 otherwise.

regardles of people arguing about nonsense.

It's impressive for Bravely default...
Not so much for LR (Which I think is way better than people make it out to be, and has a lot of awesome mechanics, and is the best XIII game) it's sales are not impressive.

And depending on what SE expected (SE can definetely be crazy).they also have 3 games in the top 10.
That hasn't probably happened in a long time.
