I was expecting a 93-94. Same level as Modern Warfare 1 and 2. So I feel good, critics are not inflating scores so much as last gen.

I actually played it and it has not had any slowdown or issues so far. I havent played the campaign yet, but so far I am having alot of fun and 87 doesnt seem bad, I think I would rate it at 90 so far. So an 87 is fair. The user side is waffle stompers on display.

I pretty much expected it to be in the 80s. It's interesting that the game couldn't make it into the 90s considering it's hype and next gen status. You gotta wonder if the lack of a sp campaign has led reviewers to give the game slower score than it would otherwise have received.

Somehow I've always felt like the sp campaign would be DLC. I don't trust these multiplayer-only games for this gen as far as that goes.

The 87 is most likely due to lack of story. Thats a pretty solid score for pure multiplayer.

Yes.  The 3.7 Xbox fans left on this site are responsible for vitriol against a game six years ago, and should now be crucified.

I'm watching Titanfall streaming since Beta and the game looks fun. But it looks to me like a game that will get repetitive and old fast.

Considering it's only an online game, I'd be happy as hell if I were them. It's basically half a game.

I was predicting 85-89, so I'm glad I seem to have picked right.

It's a score that means Respawn did it's job in producing a very marketable FPS that's not available on PS platforms, so if they are due any performance bonuses from MS then I hope the cheque is in the mail.

OTOH it's not the sort of score that gets people (who aren't fanboys) saying "Wow! game of the year contender!" or other gushing phrases about the unmatched awesomeness of the game.

So it's met, but not exceeded review expectations, if indeed Respawn or MS actually had any metascore expectations, which hopefully they didn't, at least not consciously. I bet everyone secretly wants a 90+ metascore, even if they generally poo-poo the whole game review part of this industry.
