What is the point of a 'don't want it' option? Even if you don't want it you can guess how much it's going to cost. It might as well be 'I don't want to take part in this poll'.

The question is how much would YOU pay. On that basis it is legitimate to have an option to indicate that you would not buy it at any price.
I would pay 400 € without thinking twice. Up to 500 € would be ok for me if the device is of high quality.
Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.
kowenicki said: Not really... But it raises an interesting question. What would people be willing to pay for a VR headset if, as seems likely, Sony and possibly MS released such a thing for PS4 and ONE. I hppen to think the pricing will render the devices niche. BUT... I'm a gadget mug, so I will pronbably buy one only to suffer buyers remorse as it gathers dust in a corner. |
My Vita comes to mind.
$400 = DOA.
$200 = it stands a chance.
$100 = impulse buy.
Wouldn't pay a dime for that. Let's at least see they can pull off 3D gaming first because I don't even think people want that all too much.
Generation 8 Predictions so far.....(as of 9/2013)
Console that will sell most: Nintendo Wii U
Who will sell more consoles between Microsoft/SONY: SONY
I don't know what posible sony and ms would charge.. could be a lot.. and that would be bad for them
When talking about VR on consoles.. You have to say nintendo to.. becurse they are the ones with the most experince and the optimiced hardware, have been working on this last 20 years.. and holds alot of the patents to)
Price...: Think of the upad.. it has all the thing needed for vr.. (Screen, gyro, cam, mic, speakers and uses a "no lag stream"
It will offcourse cost a litle to make a new "head" design, and i also think the screen might be replaced.. but still no buttons, touch, and analog.. That means Nintendo can make "Wii-R" for the same price as normal Upad.. and 200$ max
£300-£400, depending on support.
If I can play something like Halo, Elder Scrolls, Gran Turismo, etc. In VR it would be worth it. Needs better support than PS Move and Kinect though.
I'm a tech geek so I'd probably buy it simply for the future potential. Maybe it will actually work out and we'll get some great games. And if all else fails at least we'll get some awesome porn games from it.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
I would pay up to $200. It would have to be mind blowing tech for me to go any higher.
