Proof calls for proof, i'd say. The fact that sequels were made is more proof that they made money than those who claim otherwise.

God i wish this industry were more transparent!

Sequels don't prove that the other game did money. It only proves that they are still trying.

you're just being silly. even if someone plays MK for life, they only play it all the time when they just bought it.

That's all I played on Wii for like 1 year everytime I booted it up lol.

well, you are free to speak for yourself, just don't assume everyone is like you.

Maybe not, but I'm pretty sure MK8 would have fucked it right in the ass regardless, most people want to play that on the PS4 when all things are considered on the console side and that will help the X1 and PS4 software drought but it wouldn't do much for Wii U because MK8 is just that much a heavy hitter.

Possible release in 2014, lawl.

Get outta here, Ubisoft. How complex can it be?

I dont think thats exactly right. I think it just shows that theyre still trying to build the fanbase by doing an easy port. The real "test" so to say will be when they stop the cross-gen stuff, like theyre doing with Arkham Knight. We will know if the Wii U games made money if devs decide to port Gen 8 titles to the system.

Arkham City sold 200,000 units. Arkham Origins has sold 150,000 units. Arkham Knight is missing Wii U.

AC3 sold 240,000 units. AC4 has sold 150,000 units... The same as Origins.

CoD Blops 2 sold 230,000 units. CoD Ghosts has sold 130,000 units... Less than Origins.

And just so you know, Im saving this post for the next time we have a discussion about EA's Wii U support

bolded: want to bet on that? just check the game database. if AC 4 keeps the pace, it will get 400k by the end of 2014. batman and ghosts should get 250k each.

Hahahaha, sure.

Assassin's Creed 4 has sold 30,000 units so far in 2014 as of 22nd February. It needs another 250k units to break 400k.

Come on then. Whats the bet?

Loser has to post porn.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

I imagine it like there was this one guy at Ubisoft who had to say that the WiiU version is not canceled and then the whole team is going: NOOOOO, now we HAVE to do it for realz!"

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It's a real shame, a PR disaster, and the worst part is that this will only make the situation even worse than it is.

Let's be honest here, third party games don't tend to sell well on Nintendo home consoles. Yes, there are few examples of games that do well, but the majority of them fail.

It's a situation that comes from a long time ago, and has created a vicious cycle: few third parties launch their games on Nintendo consoles (and sometimes those game are made by their B grade studios) forcing gamers with a Nintendo console to either rely on Nintendo's games or to get another console/PC to play those games. But that, in turn makes sales of third party games even worse (becuase one group don't buy them and the other buy them, but for their other platform) so third parties get more reasons to not port their games, something that in turn reinforces the need to rely on Nintendo games or on another platform that in turn...

This game could have shaken that cycle a little bit as many of us had high hopes for it, not because of its looks (obviously) but because it could be competitive thanks to a good use of the Gamepad. And now, it won't be possible.

I'm still interested in the game, but I honestly don't know where I'll play it or when. I only know 1 thing, I won't be paying full price for it.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

they should just cancel it. its not like the game will make them on my money on the WiiU, even if it released day one.

You said AC 4 on wii u wouldn't ever get 400k ltd, a bet against that sounds simple.
