It's a real shame, a PR disaster, and the worst part is that this will only make the situation even worse than it is.
Let's be honest here, third party games don't tend to sell well on Nintendo home consoles. Yes, there are few examples of games that do well, but the majority of them fail.
It's a situation that comes from a long time ago, and has created a vicious cycle: few third parties launch their games on Nintendo consoles (and sometimes those game are made by their B grade studios) forcing gamers with a Nintendo console to either rely on Nintendo's games or to get another console/PC to play those games. But that, in turn makes sales of third party games even worse (becuase one group don't buy them and the other buy them, but for their other platform) so third parties get more reasons to not port their games, something that in turn reinforces the need to rely on Nintendo games or on another platform that in turn...
This game could have shaken that cycle a little bit as many of us had high hopes for it, not because of its looks (obviously) but because it could be competitive thanks to a good use of the Gamepad. And now, it won't be possible.
I'm still interested in the game, but I honestly don't know where I'll play it or when. I only know 1 thing, I won't be paying full price for it.
Please excuse my bad English.
